Quoting: OnTheFence a) Hubby practically lives on Facebook and all kinds of news agency websites ... not one word. b) I build, maintain, and host websites for my "day job" and there haven't been a mention of this in any of the major webmaster forums. c) Where in Google would we have seen this announcement??? d) My ISP is AT&T - nothing from them either. I went to that dns ok website ... got the green background. At this point, I am not sure if that means anything at all. The MyFoxDC article said that if you end up affected, you call your ISP to get it fixed. Ummmmm, I know more about computers and the internet than any of those AT&T support staff (I gave up trying to get anything done via them). If I end up having problems, I'll go to my computer repair guy. it has been posted for months. check glp search. pinned a few times too. Exactly. . . Thread: Internet Doomsday. Finally a Date for DOOM July 9th! Thread: Google says internet will shut down July 9th Thread: Internet Kill Switch to be tested on July 9th One, have only been a member of GPL for roughly a month now. I would not have known to search the archives for that topic. Two, so GPL is the ONLY place that has that information? None of the major webmaster forums have had it? None of the mainstream media outlets have mentioned it? I agree with the one who mentioned that if it was an advertising scam, that more details should have been mentioned to give the readers an idea of if they have even seen such a thing. I just find this very odd that there has been so little announcement for something potentially big. Very weird. *shrugs* |

False propaganda, to instill fear, which the ruling elites feed on AND to subconciously PREP the masses for what is coming... Martial Law and Worldwide Power Grid Outage.
