Iran knows that Russia can act covertly to help defend them.
Even if, (and that's a big "if") Russia does not overtly defend Iran, they can stymie "Israeli" weapons from Azerbaijan to Palestine with scalar beams, waves, and magnetic fields which can make all electronics inoperable, or fire invisible energy beams. This is the new reality.
