The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. The ultimate early muscle car would have been the 1969 Corvette ZL-1... because not only was it outrageously fast, it handled extremely well because the engine had an aluminum block and heads. Unfortunately only 2 were ordered and produced, but it does qualify as a standard production car. Modern would be the 2009 Corvette ZR-1, 205mph top speed in an extremely well balanced machine at a reasonable price. Most of the muscle cars were cool though. Personally I had: 1969 GTO convertible. 1970 Chevelle SS 454 an L46 if I remember correctly. 1971 Mustang Mach I with the 351 Cleveland engine. They were a lot of fun and I wish I still had all three. "Everybody lies." |

Just so much race care there, no tuned down versions. (yes, I'm envious! I'd love to own one!) Adversity is inevitable, misery is optional. Do or do not. There is no try.
