You can still get the factory 454 SS in the Chevy pickup. I think they get too hot and break more often than the more common 350. I'd rather have the 350 that lasts longer. The 454 just never caught on and there's a good reason. Bigger motors more parts break more. (much bigger than a 350. muscle cars need a v8.)
