Concern grows over H1N1 outbreak in Bolivia, will it go pandemic like in 1918?

I could live with that kill rate (no pun intended.) Its just a matter of time before a village in the 3rd world brings about a PLAGUE FROM HELL in my opinion. In most villages chickens, people & pigs all sleep within feet of each other.

Well they always mess with death rate. 11 from flu and 143 from bronchitis, pneumonia, heart failure that just happened to coincide with the flu.

That's not 1918 Spanish Flu rates... H1N1 is the same strain but this one is not, apparently, as virulent. Were it as virulent, there would be about 100 to 200 already DEAD.

This one calculates to be about 1/10th as virulent as the 1918 Spanish Influenza.

So, move along... nothing to see here.

The pandemic of 1918 was caused and spread by the flu vaccinations! The only way another pandemic will happen, is if the ignorant and uneducated populace are scared by fear mongering media reports and demand a vaccination.

People have some resistance to H1N1, probably left over from the 1918 flu. H1N1 has never really gone away so we carry a little resistance. That will lessen the impact of the pandemic, but will certainly not stop it. As the virus mutates, it becomes less like the older version. I don't see H1N1 being the global threat to humanity now that it was 95 years ago, but it could get ugly anyway.

No one knows whether a virus will go pandemic or not.

Chances are better that it will not.

Worry about it WHEN it goes pandemic, not before. You have no control over things like that and you have day to day life things that you need to take care of without the distraction of worrying about a pandemic.

It would go pandemic if you have live H5 added to the vaccines.

The vaccine is probably the cause of the spread, anyone who accepts vaccines, I really cannot fathom.

if Pharmaceutical company's cure people they wont make money, they don't aim to kill or heal, just maintain the sickness

They already were caught (Baxter) putting about 150 pounds of live H5 virus mixed in with the normal flu vaccine......but it was discovered by chance prior to distribution.....in the Czech Republic (early 2009). Naturally there was a media blackout about this event.
