Matter cannot be created or destroyed. Is this absolutely true?
When a woman becomes pregnant, isn't matter being created during the process of the embryo's birth cycle? Excuse me if this sounds uneducated or ignorant but I'm just curious where the matter actually comes from to go from sperm and egg to fully functional human being?

Just as your new body cells it comes from the stuff you eat and drink.

This. You dont actually believe babies come from nothing and magicially appear in a mother's womb? Do you?

That is like asking how humans grow from 2 feet tall at birth to 5+ feet tall in adulthood.

I feel sad for the fate of the world.

matter can be converted to energy. Energy can be converted to matter. Energy cannot be destroyed - that is the current belief in the science world anyway. They are quite probably wrong though.

Energy cannot be created nor destroyed, only transferred.

And mass is just energy.

It goes both ways.

So yes, you can not destroy matter or engery. Only change its form.

Like changing food, into say a full human.

Or food into a fetus.

Obviously it can. Otherwise we wouldn't be here. The universe did come from nothing. It was created from nothing. So matter can be created.

No, I understand cellular growth. What I'm saying is what allows new forms of cells to grow?

What exactly is creating new cells, where is the stuff coming from that allows a cell to multiply into a trillion?

There is no simple answer. You'll need to take a science class for this.

Lighten the fuck up. I'm just asking a question. What do you want me to never ask and never search for answers? Become complacent and just expect the answers to magically appear in my mind? It's funny how people like you bitch that people don't know a lot but when someone asks a question you bitch that they don't already know. FUCK YOU.

You eat stuff. This stuff gets splitted into little molecules. These little molecules are then put together to make new cells.

This^^.

You body digests the food, and turns it into different kinds of chemicals, compounds. The cell, and the ,mitochondria in the cells, power the cells.

The cells use the information stored in the DNA to make the appropriate changes to form, lungs, heart, lungs etc.

In a nutshell.

Re: Matter cannot be created or destroyed. Is this absolutely true?
Matter is just energy confined to an area of space by powerful fields. When the energy is released it is enormous. e equals mc squared. Now they know that so called empty space is filled with energy also. So the idea that energy cannot be created or destroyed ignores the energy of the vacuum, which in some cases can spring into this world from the quantum vacuum. So energy or matter conservation, the second law of thermodynamics is outdated, since it only looks at closed systems, and there are NO closed systems, everything is enclosed by the quantum sea of energy.

Energy is an imaginary substance of ion atoms being destroyed.
By manipulation of the atom frequency light energy is produced, but vanishes rather quickly into whatever cause the world deemed useful to for its purpose.

Modern physics is way beyond that. I used to be thought that energy was a closed system, that it didn't react to the vacuum. In Quantum physics it is well known that the vacuum is energetic. Google the Casimir effect sometime, and find out that the energy content of the vacuum may be astronomic. Naturally, this interacts with visible energy, so there is not conservation of energy, since it interacts with the vacuum energy. This is why the vacuum of space contains "dark energy" it is energy that is not visible.

I hope science is brain F*** , electromagnetic's is the only true force. All other energy is shit.Certain types of conductive metals will manipulate ions to death. The oceans salt acidic's and oxygen get used up .
