Not sure really... could go any direction.. we have at least 4 groups and their allies, the US, Europe, Russia and China.. each has their own allies, and dislike for each other, which really leaves the door open to who will turn on who.

Look at it this way, who would have thought Russia would be on the Allied side in WW2, and who would have thought after a century of butting heads with Britain over Iran that an Anglo-Soviet invasion of Iran would happen, and that Britain and Russia would split the country North/South.. but it did happen in 1941.

War makes strange bedfellows and Iran is (as always) the pivot point to watch...

Rommel was working his way from Libya to Egypt to Syria and into Iran to control the oil... strange how similar that was to this sweeping change taking hold in the region.. and how the end goal (control of Iran) is the same.
