I dont mean everything I say to be literal. I just like to throw around ideas, and play devil's advocate. I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use. -Galileo Galilei |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19148237 Canadians aren't supposed to cuss. Normal readings are normal readings you shills. Do you think radiation was invented today or something. It takes .0034 seconds to bring up a vast array of radiation data. Whats normal, whats not, etc... All available on that thing called the world wide web. OP did you check your vegetables? I have used a meter for months now. Rainstorms and all. Never a high reading ever. |
SilverPatriot User ID: 18456813 United States 07/06/2012 09:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | seriously, what do you consider "normal" ... when there is no "safe" level of radiation Quoting: SunnyDaze There is always natural or ambient radiation present in everything around us when I lived in Maine you needed to consider the levels of Radon in our basements, which forms naturally from rocks. Although true, some areas have unsafe radon levels in their homes and water, which makes testing important in some areas. Other levels of radiation is simply considered ambient and occur in very low levels and this is an unpleasant fact the earth has radiation. What you should be concerned about are items such as your television some models put out more radiation than other models, to protect yourself stay away from the screen. I'm a bad Canadian, and you're not the OP :P But kidding aside, ambient radiation varies all over the place. Not just city to city, but house to house. Nothing you find on Google is going to tell you what your home's "normal" levels are. For your whole city perhaps, but for your own home? Psssch, yeah, go find that on Google. You have to have an established background figure to compare to, and only then you can observe whether it's increasing or decreasing over time. Yeah sure you can tell whether you're getting a lethal dose or not. But by the time it's a lethal dose it's too late to do anything about it. What you NEED to observe is how the levels change over time so you can get oughta dodge before that point. |

Or will they use some sort of word system like email does to send their calls to the right person? |
