Christians: Why did God create Hell?
So, God knows everything right?
God created everything including hell, right?
God loves us, right?
God doesn't want us to go to hell right?

So, God created hell, knowing that people would go there.

Not only that. If he knows everything, then he even knew WHO would go there.

If god loved us, he wouldnt have made a hell.

And before you say "You send yourself there". Let's say I dont want to go there. Then what. I dont believe in a god, but in the case that somehow there was one and I was being judged by it in the afterlife, I'd say "I dont want to go to Hell"... then what. If he doesnt want us to go to hell, and I dont want to go to hell and he loves us... why is he sending us to hell?

Hell was not created for humans....only for evil satan and demons. In the end...if humans choose NOT to be with God...that's the other alternative. Hell is the total absence of God and all good things.

Now, what if I said to God after dying. "I'll stay here, thank you very much" even after living a life of atheism without repenting. Then what?

You misunderstand what hell is, nobody gets tortured there, it is simply the place where those who don't want to spend eternity with God will be. The torment the bible speaks of is the natural consequence of going it apart from the Source for all eternity.

It's make believe...a fairy tale. Christianity is about money, control and fear. Their silly little idol is a pathetic, pallid, incompetent and wholly fucked up little shit. They couldn't even come up with something a little more ballsy like a Thor or Odin. No, they have a 'loving' and 'peaceful' jeus who wants to burn your unrepentant ass.
If he existed he'd get my vote for biggest asshole in the universe.
If these sad bastards can't see it's all fictitious bullshit then there is no hope for humanity...

Not, I totally disagree. Hell was created for satan and his fallen angels. They were totally separated from God forever and because of unsaved, unrepeanted humans that are not found worthy of heaven, they are sent to hell. There the demons have their way with them human souls and they love to torture them in the most horrific way, forever, and there is no escaping this terrible place once the human soul is judged unworthy and put there. Hell was never intended for humans. But those human souls that are tortured there never have even one minute to be away from their torture there. It is a terrible horrific place and I don't want anyone to end up there.

This is so strange, I had just was hanging out with this girl and everything was going great. Then she brought up religion and I asked her these exact kinds of questions and all she could reply was some regurgitated nonsense that had nothing to do with what I was talking about. All it made me think was that "I believe in a higher power, yet the fact that I think differently than you makes you think I'm gonna go to hell?" How could a higher power wish that? She had no answer.

Anyway I came to GLP to talk about this exactly, funny hat this was the first non pinned thread.

Re: Christians: Why did God create Hell?
Ferpetessakes, quit effin around. Its your immortal soul. God will answer you personally. He did me. No one bothers to explain the basics. In the fall we were all separated from God. Only a blood sacrifice was sufficient to get you back to God. He came back hisself and performed that so you could come back home. Nevermind christians that you find annoying. Its only between you and God. After the sacrifice was done it allowed you to become indwelt with the holy spirit, God himself to enter your physical body if you would only request it. There's no reason anyone would not want that, its allll good. Yet, some have preconceived ideas that somehow God will goober up their lives and put some weird restrictions on them. After you ask sincerely, God, send me the power of the holy spirit in the name of Jesus, he will send it. You will never be the same, you will know things and want to do things you wouldn't have otherwise. Gifts of the spirit will be dealt out to you, such as words of knowledge, healing, prophesy and others. You'll wonder how you ever lived before you were born again. I was mad after I was born again, no one had ever explained to me that something supernatural and amazing could happen and was supposed to happen. There is little time left. You don't want to walk it out alone.
By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth.

1. Stiff-necked? Yes, my neck is quite sore. How'd you know?
2. Stubborn? Nope, not at all. I've changed beliefs alot (on non-religious things) in my life.
3. You cannot rebel against something you don't believe in. By that logic, you rebel against the Galactic Federation from Star Trek... Unless you for some reason believe in that. But, you get my point.
4. Wicked, ooo... Yeah, I don't think that I've been wicked before. Sorry, mate.
5. Unrepentant? I've done nothing wrong. Why should I have to ask for forgiveness for being born as a human?

Just because some girl you were on a date with did not have any answers, does not mean that there is not truth and answers available! Why would you think such a fruitless conversation proved anything at all?

There are answers, but few people care enough to seek them. At the first sign of difficulty or confusion they give up and declare there are no answers... when the truth may be only one more step away!
