S-300 wouldn't decide the outcome of the war, although they are nuclear capable too and could hit ground targets (less known fact).

Look, it's simple, there are roughly 60 millions units in ghost cities across the world. That is for the nuclear war survivors. If the rate of survival is 50% that means 120 millions will be affected by the unclear war.
How many cities is 120 millions?
That is 20 cities of 6 millions!

Syria didn't have those S-300. they had the older version I-300 which couldn't detect stealth technology

They don't need to get inspected.

Any military commander who places trust in a few expensive SAM sites with the delusion they are going to protect them from a US military air assault are clearly sniffing bath salts. There's no surface to air defense on the planet that can stop our air assets. None. Period.

I'm sorry. What I meant to say was that there are no Surface to Air (SAM) sites, (not surface to ground) that our air assets couldn't deal with at this time. There are multiple layers of attack available that can render the most technologically advanced SAM useless.

Russia's and China's stock pile of ICBM's are another matter entirely. I agree with you there.

Back in '04 russia was going back & forth about this delivery to Iran, and surely it had to do with the occupation of Iraq and how this delivery would effect their ongoing position as a statement.

Russia has an aversion to war (as does china).
They are keen to not be roped into scenarios by the u.s. and would rather keep it at the level of chess moves while maintaining distance and keeping their hands clean.

IMHO if the world climate was different and potential consequence to russia not so much of a hot coal sure, deliver S-300's.
But times being what they are, if russia has potential u.s. blowback for delivery then just refund iran's money plus compensation.

Israel has one thing that anyother country has: patience and training! They train for every scenario they can imagine intensively and years in advance.

IAF is capable of destroying the S-300, they are practicing that during 4 years!

Israel built their own nuclear weapons in their own facilities..

Dimona has a 24 megawatt reactor which was built I believe by the French.

They have had useable weapons since just before the Six Day War.

France gave nukes, USA & Germany gave carriers of that weapon.
