When you say there should be no punishment for adultery you are effectively saying it is not a sin, or you simply have no comprehension of how a righteous God sees justice. God is a respecter of free will and you reap what you sow. If you decide to sow low an expectation of low morals you will reap that. Keep in mind a good and loving parent does not hesitate to punish his children out of love. You really believe that when adultery is discovered the person isn't punished in some way or another? You think the person that came in and caused the adultery to take place doesn't eventually get theirs? You don't have much faith in your god, do you? The punishment comes from knowing what a filthy thing you've done. The punishment comes when everyone finds out what kind of person you are. I think that's enough. I'm certain murder isn't the answer. Don't start with the low morals crap. I'm not an adulterer and it's not something I would ever tolerate. My morals are just fine. I don't condone murder as a form of punishment. You do. Who do you think God is going to smite? It isn't me.
