That would be because women are treated as objects in Islam. This varies to degrees as to the level of how "traditional", hardcore, Orthodox etc etc whichever term you care to apply, but the intensity level of a persons adherence to Islam.

If a persons robs a lamp, you don't arrest the lamp AND the robber, you just arrest the robber. In Islam? the lamp had to be at the right place at the right time and tempted the poor robber into stealing it, shoot the lamp.

Makes perfect sense doesn't it...
