If your employer pays you $30,000 dollars a yr and also pays $10,000 in health benefits your effective salary is $40,000. What you don't realize is they get a 66% tax break on that $10,000. That means they get $6,600 of your wages subsidized by tax payers. If they just wanted to save money why offer you health insurance in the first place? It's offered in instead of wage increases. Saying if Obamacare passes I will cancel all of my employees insurance seems kind of stupid. Why wait, just cancel it now. Hell, why not drop everyone down to minimum wage?
