It may seem politically incorrect to have an elective abortion
if you find out the fetus has the "Gay gene".

But with the non-abortion rate for Downs fetuses at a mere
8 percent, women will just as discretely ask their doctors to screen
for the "Gay" gene and abort their fetus using the exact same
rational.

Wow, you are going to see many at the gay pride parade protesting the abortion clinic.

It only makes sense where this is all going, as public policy,
"death panels", genetic testing and a woman's right to choose ...
all crash in one big heap, changing society and the very fabric
of human evolution.


As "designer babies" become acceptable in the years and decades
ahead, you can bet your ass that parents aren't going to ask for
or permit their baby to be born with "Gay genes".

Gay men are more threatened by this than Lesbians,
as there are 3-4 times as many Gay men than Lesbians.

Regardless, homosexuality can be easily eradicated now
that we're confirming it's not a choice.

Many millions of gay babies will be aborted in this new age of genetic technology.

Many parents, especially Christian that are against abortion will probably opt for gene therapy after birth.

With luck, studies will show that Gay babies can be corrected
with just a few treatments of Gene Therapy.

Within a decade, there will likely be ways to do such Gene
Therapy in utero so the baby doesn't have to be aborted or
go through such treatment after birth.

Well I'm not so sure now. Efficacy studies will take at least 20 years to have strong empirical evidence because of the shame and embarrassment that one feels when coming to terms with being gay.
Since there will be no evidence gene therapy works, even the most faithful will bend to the pressure to abort with this uncertainty in treatment.

Anything to reduce or eradicate the gay population (which is exploding) would be a godsend.

To cure Gay adults, a type of rAAV-mediated gene replacement
therapy is probably the best magic bullet.

It would likely work for at least three years in between treatments.

Praise The Lord, we might be able to end the abomination of abortion yet!

It's doubtful it's exploding per se; they are just coming out
of the closet more ... kind of like cockroaches which have
become desensitized to light.

However, Gay genes are definitely a weaker gene set and as
mankind gets away from survival-of-the-fittest, those recessive
genetic mutations tend to get more stabilized. Indeed, humanity
is weaker as a whole as weaker individuals are allowed to survive
and breed, when just a few hundred year ago they would have been
forced to stay in the shadows and not add their genetics to the
gene pool of humanity.


However, using "tools" is just what humans have been doing
for millions of years. Just like fire or the wheel, Gene Therapy
to eliminate weaker Genes like those in the Xq28 stretch and other
Gay genes is the next logical step for humanity.

Normally they come on here and act as if the "Gay gene" itself
has "rights", which is of course preposterous.

It would be great to see modern medicine eliminate the scourge of homosexuality from the face of the earth. Hopefully the pedophile gene, which is closely related, can be found as well. Then they could eliminate both of these sicknesses at the same time.

I would think that any Gay adult would strongly support Gay
Gene testing on infants. Gay Adults most of all should
empathize with the idea of not having to put another child
through the pain of growing up in to being a Gay person.

The year 1995 marked beginning of the end of optimism for chromosome Xq28 as an indicator of male homosexuality. In this year Scientific American printed an article that mentioned the doubts in the scientific community over the genetics of homosexuality. LeVay’s findings, the article reports, “have yet to be fully replicated by another researcher” (Horgan, 1995). Also, one study contradicted Hamer’s results and Scientific American reported that he had “been charged with research improprieties and is now under investigation by the Federal Office of Research Integrity,” which was basically a result of his excluding “pairs of brothers whose genetic makeup contradicted his finding” (Horgan, 1995). This news report came in the November edition of the magazine, which was essentially presenting a retraction for the article the two scientists coauthored in 1994. The Gay man gene is a cluster of about 200 separate genes,
but it's believe that suppression needs to happen at just
a few critical key genes site to acquire the desired effect.

Regardless you aren't going to convince mothers with
Gay fetusee to be brought up that way. The mother will
either have the Gay fetuses aborted or have gene therapy
in utero.
