Always been bewildered by US movies where our hero goes to the refrigerator
takes out a milk carton and gulps it down.
Does the average American do this ?
In the UK drinking milk is tantamount to suicide.

Just don't use city water stright from the tap....the crap in it will stunt any plant growth.....let it sit open for a day or two.....most crap will oxidize away.
 Quoting: CtYankee

Interesting.....so if you leave the water out for a day or two, it will in effect purify itself? Would it get rid of fluoride too?
 Quoting: ajk

Don't fucking bait me....whatever crap kills the fish or slows the plants growth disapates in a few days.....fucking startpage it for yourself
 Quoting: CtYankee

Wow. What's wrong with you, pal? That was an honest question.

Yeah that was totally uncalled for dude........
No one is perfect. A babe before walking will first stumble and fall many times but NEVER gives up until he succeeds.

Always remember, ultimately, to never follow any person's belief. Your relationship with God is between you and God.

If nothing else, remember this: religion = subservience, control and conformity, the same template as EVERY government

"Most believers would kill truth if truth threatened their religion." L. K. Washburn

"This crime called blasphemy was invented by priests for the purpose of defending doctrines not able to take care of themselves." Robert Ingersoll

Rumour has it that I was not born,
I just walked in one frosty morn',
Into the vision of some vacant mind.

Damn! You always treat me like a mountain, stranger.
Though I have never seen your shadows or fading lights,
I’m just a rock that you’ll be picking up through all your ages,
Always believing there’s a canyon for every blind.

vegan for the win:)
 Quoting: CosmicHippy

20 years vegan and going strong :) i started learning about our food industry when I was 8 and have watched it get worse and worse from then.

i have nothing against omnivores with a majority of nutrients coming from plants. to be honest that is a much more "natural" diet. but when one has to choose between eating factory farmed animals and not eating animals at all.. well, it seems a fairly logical choice to me.

For those that HAVE to have meat/milk in their diets.. free range/local/organic is the way to go. . but gets costly. or, raise and slaughter your own, or hunt.

thanks for the post OP.

i'm a fan of milk. I wouldn't drink raw milk personally myself, but if somebody want's to, they should be allowed.

Because the Goverment has an undeclared war against the Amercian people and our way of life.....EVERY house hold should grow something they can eat....be it a single tomato plant hanging off your balcony to growing hydro lettuce in a spare space....veggies in with the flowers...your cost......priceless

When I was a kid my family lived near a farm in Germany. (My dad was in the Army.) We lived on raw milk for 2 1/2 years with ZERO illness. There is nothing wrong with it.

You can get rid of the chlorine by pouring the water back and forth into another container for about 15 times...it will dissipate the chlorine..the fluoride ????
 Quoting: SpaceBillie

Use a water distiller to get the fluoride out.

Re: Farmageddon - The truth about the food and dairy industry
Thank you for that engaging documentary. My thoughts go out to all the farmers of those beautiful farms. There is something wrong with all of this. Where has everybody's brain gone to? as I can't understand why there isn't mass protest about the theft of livelihoods by armed response teams. Way way way over the top. It's all reminiscent of War-time cruelty by some enemy in occupation.

Farmageddon is a good wakeup call. I'm in the ranching industry, and it's like everything else, it's spltting, organic or corporate...who are you going to choose?

You know you are drinking puss?
One in 4 teets give not milk but puss.
From bovine growth hormone.
Stupid big dairies started using the BGH to increase milk production. So much milk was produced the price was way low.
Pasturization HAS to be done to keep bacteria levels low enough (because of the puss) to make it marketable, so it won't make you sick.

My Omish freinds don't use it. Don't pasteurize.......
yummy stuff.
I have skimmed the cream and made my own butter.

I've heard up to 40 % of our milk is FROM CHINA now.
Dehydrated powder that is reconstituted and put into the bulk milk supply.

Again, the Chinese want Americans dead. What's in the milk now, BESIDES PUSS?And the cheese and the butter and sour creme.........

And UHT pasteurized "ORGANIC" ......
Ultra high temperature pasteurized........
They cook the shit out of it, shelf life for months.....
inert, inorganic, no nutrients, White liquid plastic.
DOESN'T EVEN NEED REFRIGERATION. SITS IN WAREHOUSES FOR MONTHS AND IT'S STILL "GOOD".

No wonder people are dying.

The US Dairy industry is a powerful lobby. They have these scenes in movies to drive demand for their product, and to some extent the product placement marketing works. Watching the video, it seems the US dairy industry also has a problem with competition.

Thanks for the video OP.

Re: Farmageddon - The truth about the food and dairy industry
The key issue behind all this is the consumption of meat by human beings. Everything, GMOs, factory farms, etc., derive from one single misuderstanding, that is we are carnivors. ANIMALS ARE NOT FOOD. We are slowly dying from this, because we are actually feeding from DEATH. This is not a food producing industry, this is the death industry.
This is going to be fixed bottom to top, by we boycotting meat in the first place. Everything else starts there.

Pffft. Nothing wrong with meat you just have to eat grass-fed.

Gastrointestinal Diseases Research Unit, Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada

Abstract: A novel hypothesis of obesity is suggested by consideration of diet-related inflammation and evolutionary medicine. The obese homeostatically guard their elevated weight. In rodent models of high-fat diet-induced obesity, leptin resistance is seen initially at vagal afferents, blunting the actions of satiety mediators, then centrally, with gastrointestinal bacterial-triggered SOCS3 signaling implicated. In humans, dietary fat and fructose elevate systemic lipopolysaccharide, while dietary glucose also strongly activates SOCS3 signaling. Crucially however, in humans, low-carbohydrate diets spontaneously decrease weight in a way that low-fat diets do not. Furthermore, nutrition transition patterns and the health of those still eating diverse ancestral diets with abundant food suggest that neither glycemic index, altered fat, nor carbohydrate intake can be intrinsic causes of obesity, and that human energy homeostasis functions well without Westernized foods containing flours, sugar, and refined fats. Due to being made up of cells, virtually all "ancestral foods" have markedly lower carbohydrate densities than flour- and sugar-containing foods, a property quite independent of glycemic index. Thus the "forgotten organ" of the gastrointestinal microbiota is a prime candidate to be influenced by evolutionarily unprecedented postprandial luminal carbohydrate concentrations. The present hypothesis suggests that in parallel with the bacterial effects of sugars on dental and periodontal health, acellular flours, sugars, and processed foods produce an inflammatory microbiota via the upper gastrointestinal tract, with fat able to effect a "double hit" by increasing systemic absorption of lipopolysaccharide. This model is consistent with a broad spectrum of reported dietary phenomena. A diet of grain-free whole foods with carbohydrate from cellular tubers, leaves, and fruits may produce a gastrointestinal microbiota consistent with our evolutionary condition, potentially explaining the exceptional macronutrient-independent metabolic health of non-Westernized populations, and the apparent efficacy of the modern "Paleolithic" diet on satiety and metabolism.

Just watched this. We already eat organic food, instead of sheeple food, but this film will hopefully show more people that the USDA means nothing good.

And my take: Food is actually important - spend more on better, natural ingredients and give up fast food, processed food, chain restaurant food and other sheeple food...well, unless you're a sheep
