Why do we celebrate Christmas in the beginning of winter? The answer is found in the Book of Nature
"Why do we celebrate Christmas in the beginning of winter? The answer is found in the Book of Nature. All life begins with a seed, buried in the darkness of the earth or a woman’s womb. Winter is the season when a long work of germination is carried out in the seeds sown in the earth, ending in spring with the birth of a multitude of new existences. And an identical work takes place in the psyche of each human being: in the dark earth of his lower nature, the seed of the divine Self, the Christ, must begin to germinate. It is this event that Christians celebrate on Christmas eve. Yes, it is at night, at midnight, at the moment of the most profound darkness that a birth takes place. This is why, in spite of the cold and dark, Christmas is also the festival of light."

more to do with the church needs to stamp out a pagan ritual which falls on that date... nothing to do with your christ...

I'd rather have a cool Christmas than a hot and humid one.

YES

That's the true reason !

Pagan ritual took place the 21st of Dec. when we enter winter.

Christmas was to replace this pagan ritual, that's all !

Because its the winter solstice.

There is no mysticism, just fake gods to legitimize evil acts and steal things.

Ironically, the Pagans gave gifts to the tree. = Selfless

Christians expect gifts from the tree. = Selfish

I don't follow a particular religion, but I have always loved Christmas. We start decorating and celebrating right after Halloween every year. And I leave the decorations up until Advent, just like when I was growing up. It makes me feel so joyful, and it's good for the kids to have their wishes and surprises.

Makes sense. Christians tend to be screwed in the head.

yes, christmas and the time has always been mystical; but not because of any manufactured sentiment, but within nature itself

Manufactured sentiment is still sentiment, and it brings me and my family joy. I don't need to go hug a tree to decorate one.

Correct. Also many christian churches were built on pagan holy sites. Essentially, it's akin to followers of Islam knocking down christian churches and building mosques in their place.

Actually..........

The real meaning of placing gifts under the tree before opening them on Christmas. Is because those gifts are a sacrifice offered to the tree itself!! As if the Tree is a God.

Its no different than The gifts placed before Buddha and their little shrines. They are left for a time as an offering and then eaten.

Face the Facts people!! You may not be aware of why or what you are doing and your intentions maybe different then your actions but the fact remains, when you place gifts under your tree, you are in fact sacrificing to idols and worshiping devils. Just like the Pagans did! congratulations!

Although your free to claim ignorance of the fact.

Any "Christians" want to guess why God turned his back on the Jews and cast them out of Israel to be Murdered and enslaved??? That's right! You guessed it!! For Worshiping Idols!!!!!!!

That's right rub the sleep from your eyes...... Now Anyone want to take a guess at What these so called "Christian" Pagan Idol worshipers have coming for them?

Here's a hint. It isn't good!
