I live like ten min from Knoebels but rarely go there. No reason to food is expensive and so are rides. They get people to go because admission is free but you pay through the teeth for everything else.

I suppose it also depends on the ages of your children. Mine are still a little too young for the fun rides at Cedar Point. I grew up near Kings Island, myself, and we had a small place like you describe called Fantasy Farm, next to Americana Park. Much better for small kids.

1. Fat people look gross. I'm not trying to be mean - obesity is repelling.

2. Being morbidly obese is only ever the fault of the morbidly obese person.

3. It's annoying that people could take care of themselves so badly.

4. It's even more annoying when they blame it on something else, like diabetes.

5. It encourages their kids to have the same terrible habits

Good thing my kids are not overweight..and my diabetes was a result of my bad habit; not the other way around.

Not only am I doing it for myself, but for my kids.

However, there are people out there that do not get it. But, I can say I'm not one of them.

We eat before we get there. We are going to Knoebles in a couple weeks and we usually just buy a drink or something along those lines.

And what is the point? If I base it off of the original post, the point was that you went to an amusement park, there were alot of fat people there, and you decided to take pictures and video of them to upload to glp so you can mock and insult them. It's not like the OP said "Look at all the fat people I saw today guys, let's have a discussion about the obesity epidemic in our country"



I'm not evading the issue, I'm not even denying the issue. In fact, I probably have a better grasp of it than you and all the fat haters here. Obesity is a health issue with wide ranging psychological, societal and environmental contributors that the haters always seem to boil down to the simple argument of "fat people eat too much".

Instead of enjoying some time with your kids you've basically spent the day teaching them how to judge and hate others based on the way they look, whether you think so or not.

I wasn't commenting on the subject of the OP or the obesity epidemic, I was commenting on your attitude and false sense of compassion.

You say "it kills me to see kids this way", but then you proceed to mock and insult them, their parents, and anyone else who looks like them. That's a pretty funny way of showing obese children that their plight concerns you in any way, shape or form.

I am not saying no. I am just stating what I have seen. It is horrible when you want to help people but they block every type of help you can give them. And the more help you give the worse it gets. All I know is that people who go through the surgery really need psychological help for many years(maybe even the rest of their lives) so they don't fall off the wagon so to speak. But as long as there is readily available cheap food(mainly starchy junk foods) many people are just going to eat themselves to an early grave. Tragic but true.

I love how you don't admit you have an issue with fat people, rather, you deflect the argument with "everyone else is doing it".

There's a large line between Enabler and Hinderer. Out of all of the people in the video, there maybe a few who are working on losing weight and if they see any video where fat people are mocked in public, if they are currently eating healthy and exercising, instead it could make them not want to go to the park or zoo to get some exercise in because of people with their iphones who so willingly upload and mock.

Everyone is in the end responsible for there own actions. Enabler or Hinderer has a different set of issues.

and yes...ive had the gastric by pass surgery but NOT because i was over weight. matter of fact it was bc i had type 2 diabetes bc of a drug i took. i was refused the surgery bc i didnt qualify. they said authing it would be experimental and they didnt cover that. i maintained my weight to a mere under 20 ill give you max 25lbs over.

i was insulin intolerant -

i chose to fight my insurance and i won. i no longer eat their genetically modified foods which is whats aiding in the obesity epidemic.

i wont put myself in a position where id be at the mercy of someone i wouldnt let pick my nose - the medical industry and or govt.

Healthy food is expensive.

Soy. It's an endocrine disrupter, and it is in everything. Tuna in spring water. Self-basting turkeys. Hidden as "natural flavor". It's in everyyyy bread product at the grocery story.

High fructose corn syrup. Also in everything, including tomato sauce. You don't feel full like you do if it is sugar. That's why they used to sell Cokes in 6 oz. bottles, that was all you could drink. If they made it with sugar now, nobody could drink a big gulp.

Certain plastics are endocrine disrupters and cause a predisposition to obesity. Check out children's toys.

My list goes on and on and on. I'm sure others can add to this, but it's time for me to go fix lunch ;->

I eat a complete mixture of healthy stuff and absolute shit, and i'm not even close to overweight.

I agree about the food. Most of the cheap stuff is also devoid of any nutrition. So a person eats a lot of food but it only fills the stomach and doesn't satisfy the cells. So the cells tell the body it needs to eat more. So more cheap, non-nutrient food is eaten with the same effect. Now you have an obese person who is in reality starving to death with a full stomach. If you have trouble affording nutritious food then at least get a decent vitamin/mineral supplement. BTW, some foods(fruits and veggies) look nutritious but by the time they make it to the store most of the nutrition is gone. So a supplement is usually necessary even if you think you are eating healthy.

And THIS, right here, is the flip side of the Obesity issue.

Back when I was at my best. 235lbs and RIPPED (muscle head), at my height 5'11" BMI stated that I was MORBIDLY OBESE. Yeah, with my defined abs, I was obese.
It's a total joke.
