Most who are enmeshed in and on the sinking ship system of the USA have no idea what's happening.

Only those who are off the ship will survive and continue on. The rest are already dead. Laugh all you want. Your great grandchildren will curse you for your ignorance.

wellI agree with you, kind of...

I like the Amish - good for them. I fear pretty soon we are going to have no choice but to "play" Amish - but not nearly as nicely. In tents and ragged out houses never meant to be lived in without power...

As for our grandchildren - I don't know if we'll get along that far.

Scary world. I'm banking on Jesus. Hmmmm... anyone here know of any significant Amish prophecy teachings that might have led them to this seperatism... I'm gonna research it...

I have kids - youngish ones. I've tried to prepare them but they have no clue. When TSHTF, I'm gonna have a tough time helping them survive in a world nothing like they know it to be now...

I don't know about any SPECIFIC prophecies, but perhaps they take literally the Biblical admonition to live IN the World but not to be a PART of it. It must be a constant temptation, especially among the young, to join the "rest of the World" as we now know it. Life could/would be SO much easier for them with electricity, cars, agricultural machinery, telephones, etc.!

And I'll bet it drives them nuts to have all the tourists laughing and pointing and snapping pictures or videos of them when they're just trying to live their simple lives!

Well, all it would take is one well-placed EMP and we'd all be BEGGING them for their wisdom! Has anyone ever thought that perhaps the Amish are a "Gift" from God, placed here and allowed to thrive in order to help us through some future disaster?
