Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14155246 That is the object of this as it can take the haggling aspect almost completely out of the equation. You know their (dealerchip) rock bottom is the "Wholesale price" and most dealerships that take trade-in's give pennies on the dollar credit torwards a new car purchased from them. Also invoice is a scam so never let someone say that's below my invoice as they get credits from the manufactures after they sell the vehicle, that undercut the invoice price by 10% If they object give them your phone number and your price on the vehicle and tell them to call you if they want to sell it. It's that easy ! |

Truck or car new or used it doesn't matter as this technique works every time ! best bet is to cozy up to a guy with a sales license and give him/her a couple of bucks to take you to a dealer auction with him/her directly. you will never get a "good deal" off a lot. and "buy here pay here" deals are a scam as a rule of thumb you pay double what the dealer pays plus another thousand. really, its a lose-lose situation for a buyer. your always gonna pay atleast $3500 more then the dealer paid even if there is no financing involved. |

Truck or car new or used it doesn't matter as this technique works every time ! Uh, doesn't work so well. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1461298 Vehicle $30,000 x 0.70=$21,000 70,000 miles x 0.30=$21,000 =free car. This must be done within reason and granted that at 12K average per year that car would be 6 years old. At 70,000 miles the car is 3/4 spent expecting 100K miles $21,000 x 75% = $15,750 $21,000 - $15,750 = $5,250.00 and less for wear and tear. are the tires worn ? - $500.00 Exhaust needs replaced ? - $275.00 Needs Brakes ? - $400.00 Interior rough ? - $750.00 Exterior needs paint ? - $800.00 Using logic you could negotiate a great deal on a vehicle. |

Quoting: astor Wrong I have just given you the tools to go to a dealer or a private owner and make your own deal. You must have confidence and know your numbers ! Have done this tons of times. It's not that hard ! |

Truck or car new or used it doesn't matter as this technique works every time ! 2011 Chevy Volt = $48,000 1990 Honda Accord = $2,000 $46,000 in gasoline @ $4.60 / gallon = 10,000 gallons, multiplied by 20 miles per gallon, you get 200,000 miles in the used Honda before even approaching the cost of the Volt. |

Truck or car new or used it doesn't matter as this technique works every time ! Using the above formula E.G.: a car when new costs: 16140 16140 x 70% = 11298 It has 75000 miles 75000 x 0.30 = 22500 11298 - 22500 = -11202 So the dealer must pay me 11202 to me to buy the car? What did I do wrong? |

Sounds like you have a childs mind and couldn't afford a vehicle anyway ! |
