If anything, and I mean this in addition to the 4000+ record highs that have been broken - the sun feels hotter. Even on a comfortable 75 degree day, the sun - to me and some others I've talked to - feels hotter than it should - on your skin etc.

It is simple to note that the sun is getting hotter and brighter. Gamma rays are going up for years so it must be fact that more fusion takes place at the sun. I cannot imagine another circumstance with these three components.

A few months ago we were told that we could expect a quadrupole. Hmm.
And they said it would getting colder. Hmm

Technical a quadrupole is not possible, but a proton-proton reaction is normally not possible either.

Hmm. This must mean real shit,.......if true.

Hydrogyn is the fuel of our sun.
The hydrogyn proton-hydrogyn proton reaction(fusion) gives us the light, heat and gamma rays. These three components are rising for years now. Clearly. My conclusion is that more H-H reaction is taking place. The pressure must be rising first, otherwise this is not possible.

More mass into the sun, means more pressure. But, the sun also could be dying.

This process of more H-H reaction is happening for years now, but I do not understand how this could change our sun into a quadrupole. That whole quadpole thing is very strange.

From reading what was here and watching the attached videos, it seems like it is not at all uncommon to have one pole flip polarity before the other. And the process of flipping probably brings the other along as the quadrupole wouldn't be electrically stable.

I would be worried it the Sun didn't behave normally. Transitioning from Dipolar to Quadrupolar back to Dipolar is how it works. It happens when the Sun reaches Solar Max, just like it's doing at present. Here is a thorough paper on it from 2002;
Observations of the Sun’s magnetic field during the recent solar maximum

"We show how this influenced the current sheet. At solar minimum, the Sun’s coronal magnetic field was essentially dipolar and aligned parallel to the spin axis. As a result, the heliospheric current sheet was flat and had very little warp. This meant that the current sheet was tilted and highly warped, and reached up to high latitudes. We have shown that the results of the VKS experiment are in very good agreement with these predictions:
- reversals are characterized by a strong transfer to the quadrupole when the dipole vanishes,
- the dipolar mode systematically displays an overshoot after each reversal,
- random reversals are asymmetric, i.e. involve two phases: a slow one triggered by turbulent fluctuations followed by a fast one mostly governed by the deterministic dynamics..."

I don't understand why you are going as far back as 1957. You don't have to go back nearly that far to find a situation where the poles shared polarity for over a year. In cycle 22's reversal, the north pole reversed on January 18, 1990, and the south pole didn't follow suit until over a year later, on April 3, 1991. In cycle 23, it was shorter, but still over half a year. As I said in my opening post, shared polarity during a reversal has occurred in each of the last 3 cycles, at varying lengths.

But in each of those situations, including your 1957 example, the poles have always weakened in unison, and attempted to flip at the same time. Unlike what is happening here in cycle 24, you can see in 1957 the north and south were utterly symmetric going in to the reversal. They weakened together, bottomed out together, the north tried it's little heart out to reverse at the same time the south did, repeatedly changing polarities back and forth and bottoming out as it struggled with the process.

As I said in the opening post, shared polarity during a reversal is not even noteworthy, it occurs so frequently. So I'm not really sure why you are trying to debate me on a point I fully agree with.

What's occurring now is not the usual shared polarity phenomenon that's occurred every cycle since modern observations began. This time, the south pole isn't budging. It's not like previous reversals, where the holdout pole always weakened in unison with the other pole, and attempted to flip with the other pole. For the first time since modern observations have begun, the holdout pole isn't doing anything to show it's even aware the other pole is reversing.

That is the focus of this whole event. It's a level of asymmetry that's never before been observed. Nothing comes close. If the current trend holds, and the south continues to strongly maintain it's polarity, we could end up with an actual cemented quadrupole configuration. We've already travelled farther down the path towards that then has ever before been observed.

If you're talking about quadrupole, no it isn't confirmed. It's an intriguing prediction made by a team of scientists that is gathering more evidence each day the south pole does not budge.
