At least it bothers you that you don't feel that gut reaction. That's a good sign. Cognitively, you realize something is bad. Now you have to figure out why your emotions are not reacting to the info as well (normally, people react emotionally first and stronger, cognitively takes second place). This probably affects more important aspects of your life than horrible videos. Like, romantic relationships, I'd imagine. Maybe a therapist can help.

I've had a real fucked up life, only 21. Personal relationships aren't hard, but infrequent when it comes to romance. I don't anger very easily at all under any circumstance. I don't feel sadness much, but love, excitement, joy, that is all mostly normal, if anything I get attached pretty easy. I tried therapy, 2 sessions before I got annoyed with it. It felt more like paying 75 an hour to be told I'm desensitized and we'll need to dig deeper yet to figure out why. He said that at the end of both sessions.

I would like to get my hands on anyone that does this kind of cruelty to any living being (cat, dog, mouse, whatever, even human). now lets look at life:
- every inch of ground screams - animals, insects, species tortured and killed; eaten alive and the list goes on
its not only human beign who plays with its 'pray' (vcats, dogs, monkeys are also a good example)
and kids (the smallest) are also innocent - they learn to inflict pain even before they learn to talk or walk

i would try my best to talk to the people who did this and reason with them, and get them to see the wrong of their ways. if they really admitted their wrong doing and felt sorrily remorseful i would let the issue go.

yes, to slay an animal for sustinance is not the same as torture for amusement. Proper farms keep suffering to a minimum. Factory farms SAY they do, but... Not so much. Animals also kill their prey as fast as possible, minimizing sufferibg (there are very few ezceptions to that). In all those cases, nobody is torturing the animals for entertainment. That is the sick element.

No no the Italian is right. We could not care less about hidden suffering we all know about and the in your face human suffering, but when it comes to kitties and doggies we are all over the barricades with guns and pitchforks in hand because we instantly project the suffering.

Aside from the food industry let us not forget cosmetics and medical. Every skin care product needs to go through a rigorous set of tests on live animals before it is approved for human consumption. Have you forgotten the unspeakable horrors of vivisection? The sad thing is you cannot go to market unless you pass these lab tests which are cruel beyond belief to animals.

As far as this incident goes: There is a slight chance this was an accident, be it a small one. What is most likely is that once the concrete was poured someone dropped the cat in the shaft. Not a very nice thing to do at all - that's for sure.

For what it is worth, I do believe in karma, and the individual(s) that did this will get theirs one day.

Maybe the cat did fall inside. It maybe was its own mistake.
