I saw a psychic tonight that my Dad had set up ($120 an hour) and he had this to say about 2012:
A lot of psychics are in agreement that the end of 2012 could be a bit ugly. It won't be so destructive as people rumour it to be but still the West Coast of California does not look good. I just got my Daughter [She is married, with a kid, and lives in California. This guy has convinced her to move back home, husband and child. Husband has taken a new job here.] to come back home.
...
The cleansing should take until at least May.
...
ME later on: So do you believe it to be Fukushima related or earthquake, physical, because you made it sound like at the beginning (this 2012 was talked about early in the session) that it was some kind of Financial catastrophe (he talked about economies collapsing).
HIM: No, we think it to be Tsunamis.. Places will drop off into the ocean, waves should go inland at least 25 KM [Personally I think it'd be a lot further if it was a shift of some sort] and the water is not going to recede back all the way.

Anyways, there you have it. I'm tired and going to bed.

I am aware most people assume psychic = bullshit, but this man has over 20,000 clients from all ranges of professions, and knew some spot on stuff about my Dad's deceased loved ones (family I never met) that he had no way of knowing.

I'm not here to convince you to believe that genuine ones exist out there, it's futile to try to make a horse drink. You can lead one to water, but you can't make it drink.

I'll be saving a copy of this message in some ridiculous even I am banned. That will speak enough words on the topic for me.

Not sure how this is relevant.

Good psychics don't live in big houses. A good psychic is someone you haven't heard of before.

If I gave you the name to look up his website, would judging the layout and colour scheme give you some sort of comfort in determining how legit he is? Is this how we silence our conscious now? Telling ourselves that he sounds "sketchy" or "budget" and therefore not credible?

Even if I was to consider satisfying your request, I first of all do not feel comfortable giving out such information.

Fair comment.

On the other hand, how many weather records were broken in your own backyard in the past month, past year?

This is not a topic he ever has to discuss in his sessions. He is only aware for his own family. You see, it's not common for him to sit down and session with a GLPer.

Most people want to know their love, health, and financial future... unfortunately probably not in that order however.

If this is what someone must be able to do to be considered a psychic, then you are asking if I had a session with God.

It is no coincidence that Police Departments request the help of psychics. Do their random guesses that many times lead to something of a smoking gun fall under the category of "coincidence" for you? The statistics of such a thing are astronomical.

Like I said, 20,000 clients. You don't get to such a number doing private, in house sessions, by being a fraud. It is word of mouth from people who felt a connection and that he knew something he could not have known.

Even if you went to his site and there were "Testimonials", you'd just find something wrong with the Testimonial and disregard that too. It's a protection mechanism of the mind. I understand, don't worry. There is nothing he could put on his site that would make you believe he is any more credible than what I could tell you of how I felt.

Last but not least, just go back to assuming I am trolling, this is the safe route.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18835047

I am assuming if something was large enough to go at least 25 KM inland, it would have to be a pretty sweeping Tsunami up and down the coast. We aren't talking so much about a wave, as a displacement of water. A displacement is not going to have pockets of even levels just because you are North or South.

16 feet above sea level is not even taller than some surf waves.... dude.

Sometimes, I myself, get "ideas" or "thoughts" that later turn out to have been premonitions.
I just don't know what the difference between one of my "thoughts" are..and what is actually a premonition.

Well what you reported this individual told you did not resonate with me when I read it. I can envision a tsunami but I would be personally skeptical of someone who is going to tell you precisely how far they will reach inland? To me that type of specific information would be a red flag that this 'intuitive message' may be a product of or influenced by the mind - that could happen unknowingly too. This individual may believe what he's relaying to be the truth but that doesn't guarantee he's tapping into that intuitive sense when he's relaying this message to you or that he even received that message intuitively. I'm just saying use some discernment.

I believe that the future is intentionally foggy and people can get some general inclinations as to things that may be forthcoming but I don't believe any individual can give you any specifics about the details of any of it.

When I was young, I had a psychic tell me that I would marry a guy who will wear a military uniform....that he had brown eyes and dark hair.

I thought she didn't know what she was talking about because I was in love with a blue eyed blonde guy at the time. Well, he broke up with me, and eight months later I fell in love with a brown eyed, dark haired guy. We married, and four months later we were shocked when he was drafted into the army at the age of 25. To my disappointment, he decided to make it a career, and stayed in for 25 years.

There were many other things she told me that she was right on.

And my advice to you would be to use some tact.

You don't come into a thread like this and say, "You should ask for your Dad's money back" with nothing else to go on. I don't have to explain the tone and attitude a sentence like that sends right?

Maybe you are both able to see something happening, his delivery was a lot better though.

You will always get the disbelieving morons ridiculing anyone that mentions psychics, especially this psychic who has 21000 clients. I have no need to doubt that what was said is possible because I have an open mind, therefore what is wrong with assuming that it could be possible? As a Christian, I am prepared to have an open mind, but I must say, that I live well and truly far away from the coast here in Australia, and that perhaps, is why I am willing to have an open mind. I agree with the original comments, it really is none of anyone's business to disclose the psychic's name, assuming only for intimidating and retaliating purposes.

Look, I think the guy sold you his opinion when he answered those questions.... That's my impression. You are entitled to your own perspective on it. How was the rest of the reading?

I saw a psychic once....and she was an elderly lady...and she was spot on.

I don't know how some of them do it. ... But, they are not all frauds.

Thanks for contributing to the thread. Stories like this make people more likely to believe in the existence of taboo topics; reference psychics only here, not 2012.

Personally, I wouldn't spout the impending doom unless I knew for %100 sure. If they are meant to leave, something will take them away. Who am I to destroy the mental well-being of people by fear-mongering. I've realized that now about this topic. I'll silently act on my own and take care of those when and if the time comes.
