The problems with the US school system (straight from a 17-year-old)...

Everyone that hates on what this dude said probably hasn't sat through a day of public school in a very long time. The school institutions of america are more like prisons. they both are trying to make you become a profitable debt slave after you have served your time. the same things are drilled into your head year after year. One experience i had at school last year ,my last in high school ever too, was amazing.


I had this class contemporary world affairs. The teacher was a push over and the class spent many days controlling the "learning environment". By that i mean nobody in the class GAVE A FLYING FUCK so they sat around yelling random nonsense at each other texting listening to music fighting eating anything you can do within the walls of school besides learn or listen to the teacher. the closest thing to teach she could do was just put on a movie or play games with my simple minded peers where she gave them candy.


Then one day she put on an interesting video about the NWO it talked about the Illuminati and how the world is not really what it seems. i cant tell you much about the video and its contents because my fellow students in that class were outraged they simply would not let the movie play. it was on for about 5 mins before everyone just started to get angry so they all started yelling at the teacher for being evil and shit. she turned the movie off. the class then talked about Jay-z.

long before all that i took it upon myself to learn about what she was trying to show everyone that day. so i just sat in the back of the class and watched the reactions towards the truth behind what really governs their material world. It was crazy how worked up everyone got but i was not surprised. however i was saddened that common people will actually fight to maintain their ignorance. whats even sadder is that they didn't know it would help them become more free...they didn't even give it a chance.

My #1 qualm with our education system, is that they failed to teach us about anything beyond the school walls.

And American history from inside the school walls differed greatly from American history outside of the school walls.

...the bullying is necessary for the slave training. They never teach you the REAL secret to stop bullying: FIGHT BACK. The first time you give a bully a knuckle sandwich will be the last time you'll see him. Oh, you'll spend time in detention but a fist in his face or a boot up his ass will stop the bullying for a VERY LONG TIME.

For a couple years the school had me believe that they could handle it. I have them three, actually. My son was never afraid of the bullies, just knew that violence wasn't the answer... yet. Once he turned twelve, I told him I'll support any decision he makes: take it, slug it out, tattle, run and cry, anything. His choice.

He stood his ground and got a few licks in before the janitor caught them. Spent the day in detention. They were going to suspend him. I made a call. But, as I told them, "Go ahead and punish him any way you want, but just remember, this is YOUR fault! I have you three years and your incompetent rules and methods didn't stop it. You suspend him and I'll get the meanest lawyer from hell to make your life miserable for as long as I can."

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO DEFEND YOURSELF!!! USE IT! Tell the school to fix it by a certain time our you're going to turn your kid loose on the bullies. But, most of all, tell your kid you support H(er)(im) and then do. My son is just a few months from getting his Black Belt in Taekwondo and almost 15. He was an orange belt when he put the hammer down. Once the hammer came down, the bullying stops. Now, he's got 2 other kids that hang out with him that were being bullied. He's been threatened with detention twice for defending them. He basically tells them each time they need to fix the environment that incubates the bullying and that if they put him in detention, he'll just leave. (He has my permission and they know it!)

Slave Training: From the classes to the extra curricular to the lunch and recess time. Slave Training.

I slipped my programming years ago. Now I work for a K12 school corp. You should see the smile the face of the bullied when they find out that there is an adult in the building they can go to that will stand up for them.

School is a prison environment tailored to slave training.

It is BAD and it is DAMAGING.

Right on man! Because history is replete with adolescents that made great choices. You know, like every 17 year old that drops his fucking load in his 16 year old girlfriend after the 'big game'.

Then moves into the local trailer park or project and spends the next few years guzzling beer with his 'buds' and ripping on how little his teachers know!

OP is correct, there are some problems with the school system, but I do not agree with many of his or her points.

looking through some of the replies, it saddens me how ignorant and stupid some people are.

As I went through HS and college, there were definitely courses that just wasted my time. College especially had ones that were specifically designed to keep you there as long as possible. Tuition tripled since then, but the level of education has not changed at all...

I learned more useful things after getting a real job dealing with real people. Instead of just teaching something out of a book, that information will be better understood if it is applied. My friends hated word problems in math, but I liked it. Schools should make courses where kids can use that knowledge in real life situations. But hey, how often do you need trigonometry in real life?

Kids should be taught not "how", but "why"

This 17 year old is already successful as a human being. Her parents should be seriously proud of her. She's destined for greatness. At least she has been conditioned to think for herself. BRAVO! There's hope for humanity yet.

It gets a lot worse once you leave college. The workforce is made up of a bunch of Zombie Yes Man!! It's enough to make you puke!! There are process and procuedures for everything!! “We have become slaves to our infrastructure —to business’s controlling tools, procedures, and mandates.” Nobody critically thinks anymore, they are all told what to think. You have at least figured it out at a young age. Do what makes you happy and let me tell you it's not working for a BIG CORPORATION!!! DO YOUR OWN THING AND MAKE SURE YOU LOVE IT!

The system has its ways but keep up the good work, and continue being your own person.you bring me faith and i know others will awaken to what you mean.I know some judge you but they dont know what youve been through,be brave it will be scene through at our level money is still necesary,but people must be reminded that indevidual thought is still necesary as well,it will happen becouse thats how people see through the bs that resides around.what you have will give you an edge god bless.
