Everyone that hates on what this dude said probably hasn't sat through a day of public school in a very long time. The school institutions of america are more like prisons. they both are trying to make you become a profitable debt slave after you have served your time. the same things are drilled into your head year after year. One experience i had at school last year ,my last in high school ever too, was amazing.

I had this class contemporary world affairs. The teacher was a push over and the class spent many days controlling the "learning environment". By that i mean nobody in the class GAVE A FLYING FUCK so they sat around yelling random nonsense at each other texting listening to music fighting eating anything you can do within the walls of school besides learn or listen to the teacher. the closest thing to teach she could do was just put on a movie or play games with my simple minded peers where she gave them candy.

Then one day she put on an interesting video about the NWO it talked about the Illuminati and how the world is not really what it seems. i cant tell you much about the video and its contents because my fellow students in that class were outraged they simply would not let the movie play. it was on for about 5 mins before everyone just started to get angry so they all started yelling at the teacher for being evil and shit. she turned the movie off. the class then talked about Jay-z.

long before all that i took it upon myself to learn about what she was trying to show everyone that day. so i just sat in the back of the class and watched the reactions towards the truth behind what really governs their material world. It was crazy how worked up everyone got but i was not surprised. however i was saddened that common people will actually fight to maintain their ignorance. whats even sadder is that they didn't know it would help them become more free...they didn't even give it a chance.

My #1 qualm with our education system, is that they failed to teach us about anything beyond the school walls.

And American history from inside the school walls differed greatly from American history outside of the school walls.

Re: The problems with the US school system (straight from a 17-year-old)...

AMEN AMEN AMEN!

7 YEARS OF MY LIFE WERE A LIVING HELL BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU SAID!, YOU NAILED IT ON THE HEAD!
BRAVO FRIEND, BRAVO!!!

Although, 1 thing you didn't mention was the bullying. There is so much bullying that all the children that are actually smart get bullied and called an idiot for not doing their tedious slave prep work.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Except for those who are student athletes. Notice student came first. I know after graduating from GT on a full ride football scholarship.
 Quoting: ExpertOfSound

...the bullying is necessary for the slave training. They never teach you the REAL secret to stop bullying: FIGHT BACK. The first time you give a bully a knuckle sandwich will be the last time you'll see him. Oh, you'll spend time in detention but a fist in his face or a boot up his ass will stop the bullying for a VERY LONG TIME.

For a couple years the school had me believe that they could handle it. I have them three, actually. My son was never afraid of the bullies, just knew that violence wasn't the answer... yet. Once he turned twelve, I told him I'll support any decision he makes: take it, slug it out, tattle, run and cry, anything. His choice.

He stood his ground and got a few licks in before the janitor caught them. Spent the day in detention. They were going to suspend him. I made a call. But, as I told them, "Go ahead and punish him any way you want, but just remember, this is YOUR fault! I have you three years and your incompetent rules and methods didn't stop it. You suspend him and I'll get the meanest lawyer from hell to make your life miserable for as long as I can."

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO DEFEND YOURSELF!!! USE IT! Tell the school to fix it by a certain time our you're going to turn your kid loose on the bullies. But, most of all, tell your kid you support H(er)(im) and then do. My son is just a few months from getting his Black Belt in Taekwondo and almost 15. He was an orange belt when he put the hammer down. Once the hammer came down, the bullying stops. Now, he's got 2 other kids that hang out with him that were being bullied. He's been threatened with detention twice for defending them. He basically tells them each time they need to fix the environment that incubates the bullying and that if they put him in detention, he'll just leave. (He has my permission and they know it!)

Slave Training: From the classes to the extra curricular to the lunch and recess time. Slave Training.

I slipped my programming years ago. Now I work for a K12 school corp. You should see the smile the face of the bullied when they find out that there is an adult in the building they can go to that will stand up for them.

School is a prison environment tailored to slave training.

It is BAD and it is DAMAGING.

It's good you use Trig. I didn't say it couldn't be used. My point was that for what I want to get into (music), it was useless.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19252692

You are welcome for my reply.

I would, again, disagree with your thesis that math is not useful in music.

Math ** IS ** music and music ** IS ** math. They are the same animal.

Math is spatial relationships.
Music is spatial relationships.

Those spatial relationships can be in the visual, auditory, tactile worlds, etc.

Trig/Geometry is visual world/physical world spatial relationships.

Music is auditory world/physical world spatial relationships.

Consider, for example, the harmonics of music. Why are 'chords' in music allowable? Why do some combinations of frequencies elicit a pleasant feeling whereas other combinations do not? It is all MATHEMATICS, son.

Watch here:

[link to www.youtube.com]

Now, if you are astute, you will see, too, and understand that frequency is much more than geometry... it is also chemistry... it is also orbital shells and vectors... it is also calculus...

Vibratory frequency is the doorway to other dimensions... it is music.

I would suggest you read the book "Music of the Spheres" by Guy Murchie. It is an old book and perhaps out of print but you will learn a lot from it.

loved your post.
agree about what you said. not only agree, im fascinated.
but again, did you lean this in school? i sure didnt.
of course i had math lessons, but never with such pratical use.
i learned phi, fibonacci sequence, the whole shabang.
but nobody ever mentioned that this math is everywhere in nature. OUR nature! like an inteligent design behind all this creation. can this really be an cosmic accident? that everything share the same math?!

food for thought.

school doesnt allow you that. it indocrinates you to follow a carrer. get a job. work for the system.

i see mosts of the posts here, and it goes exactly in this direction. they say: of course math is important, you need it to get better jobs!

sad... for me at least. we became completely clueless of what we really are.
its this system, man. school works in the system, for the system. just like everything else. THATS my problem.

hihihi this post got me so far out, ey...

I appreciate your comments. Thank you.

As for where to learn the unity of all things? I was 'enlightened' (if you will) by my own observations of the world. And, you're right, this is not taught in today's educational system.

Today's educational system is a product of the Freemasons who advocated and created the "universal free public education" dogma of the 1900s in America thru today. In the 1800s education was not universal nor was it free. Your parents paid a tutor/teacher and you were educated because your parents thought it important for you. It was expensive, too, and so educated intelligence was primarily an 'upper class' phenomenon. If you were middle or lower class, you had a chance of joining a guild or being a manual laborer, farmer, or joining the military. You were not going to be exposed to the classics nor taught the larger esoteric nature of reality.

Today's education is that 'universal free public education for the masses' of the Freemasons' dream. People are given enough education to be good slaves; they're not given good enough education to be truly independent intellects.

You think I jest?

Consider the 'mortar board' headgear upon graduation ceremonies. Why a mortar board? To care the mortar for the masons, i.e., to be the laborers for those that really are the master craftsmen.

Consider the 'degree' you earn in school. Why a degree? The same as the Freemasons' degree system; the same as the guilds.

When you look more deeply with eyes to see you will see that the Masons are everywhere in education, e.g., the Phi Theta Kappa organization would fall to this if you investigate. Why the "Torch of Knowledge?" Why is it a torch? Why the Owl? What signifies the owl? And what the relationship of the torch and the owl to the Masons?

Wake up from the dream, folks.

Wake up to what education really is.

It is slave programming.

If you wish to be truly educated and wish to be truly enlightened then you, yourself, will have to do that.

Consider these 2 brief videos:

One of my favorite classes was in my senior year: "Ancient American Civilizations," taught by one of my favorite teachers. But please. Spare me the inane mandatory US History courses, with the misinforming textbooks filled with overwhelming American-supremacy. I feel bad for anyone who retained the disinfo from those books.

Re: The problems with the US school system (straight from a 17-year-old)...
looking through some of the replies, it saddens me how ignorant and stupid some people are.

As I went through HS and college, there were definitely courses that just wasted my time. College especially had ones that were specifically designed to keep you there as long as possible. Tuition tripled since then, but the level of education has not changed at all...

I learned more useful things after getting a real job dealing with real people. Instead of just teaching something out of a book, that information will be better understood if it is applied. My friends hated word problems in math, but I liked it. Schools should make courses where kids can use that knowledge in real life situations. But hey, how often do you need trigonometry in real life?

Kids should be taught not "how", but "why"

There are process and procuedures for everything!! “We have become slaves to our infrastructure —to business’s controlling tools, procedures, and mandates.” Nobody critically thinks anymore, they are all told what to think. Kindergarten-ok class, here's your juice now take a nap.
Elementary-ok class, sit down, be quiet and pay attention.
Middle school-sit down, shut up and take notes.
High school-shut up or get out, you're going to have to know this to succeed in life.
College-ok freshmen, let's have an open discussion. (freshmen look at each other like, "um, whaaaat")

The system has its ways but keep up the good work, and continue being your own person.you bring me faith and i know others will awaken to what you mean.I know some judge you but they dont know what youve been through,be brave it will be scene through at our level money is still necesary, but people must be reminded that indevidual thought is still necesary as well,it will happen becouse thats how people see through the bs that resides around.what you have will give you an edge god bless.
