UN envoy says Syria president discusses transition

GENEVA: International envoy Kofi Annan says Syrian President Bashar Assad has discussed the possibility of forming a transitional Syrian government.

Annan says during his discussions with Assad in Damascus this week the Syrian leader "did offer a name" of someone who could serve as an interlocutor for the regime as it explores ways of forming a transitional government with the opposition.

Exactly. There is no possible way this would happen. If it happens, that means the West and it's allies aren't trying to destabilize the country... If the West isn't trying to destabilize the country, that means Syria/Iran and Russia are pieces of shit and should have America world police put them down. Point being, this means nothing!

I have no doubt thats what Annan was told but let me check my recent fact book about Iran...will negotiate about enrichment and didnt......will negotiate about enrichment and didnt.....will negotiate about enrichment and didnt...will negotiate about enrichment and didnt...

They do however beiieve the world must be in chaos before the 12th imam pops up through a well in Iran to destroy the crosses, Christians and jewish people...

Perhaps the educated people of the world could use a statisticain to remind them of the lies and broken promises by Iran...kinda of like fantasy world war 3 draft...Mel Kiper timing Ahmadinjad in the 40 yard run with a suicide vest..

Brilliant strategy...

1. Calls for disarmament for meaningful transition.

If they say no than they look like they are not willing to negotiate.

If they say yes, then Assad gets all of their arms. also can prove that America is supporting them with US arms.



2. Wants "unity government", which means these rebels will have to come out of the woodwork and expose themselves to take power.


3. Iran agrees, making Iran look peaceful and reasonable.


4. Buys time. Iran and Syria are masters at buying more time, the more time they get the more time Russian arms get to travel to them for eventual war.

5. If the offer is refused than they can legitimately say (Iran and Syria) that they tried their best to keep peace, but these rebels just want to continue bloodshed.


Great strategy IMO...
