OP,
Have you considered the position of the dependents in the military? It doesn't matter if they signed disclosure statements or not. They all have moms and dads, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles etc etc. There's no way they wouldn't warn their families and friends.
From my point of view, the military has nothing to gain by pre-warning dependents but everything to lose by opening their mouths. Upon getting deployment orders, the soldiers could simply be told their families will be mobilized and moved to safe locations. Most of them would buy it.

I'd be in the same boat and I suspect all of us would do the same. I wonder how long it would take the Military and Police to lock down travel on major freeways leading out of States? They wouldn't have to lock down every freeway. They'd just have to create choke points on major routes and then cover secondary routes of travel to contain massive immigration out of danger areas. I'm guessing they could pull if off in a day or two? Bottom line with all this stuff...It might be wise to have all preps in a grab and go condition. It would also be smart to keep the tanks topped off and spare gas cans full. Also, having a bug out plan with two or three routes mapped out. Some might consider it paranoid but there are so many threats on the horizon that it might be prudent anyway.
