He said it was leaving a long orange trail of sparks and mentioned there was 3 orange circular rings around the trail spaced out along it's length. That was the part that got me. Orange circular rings around the trail. The only thing I can think of is that may have been a result of skipping across the atmosphere. He said the object was about 1/10 the size of a full moon.
No we don't have pics. No they don't do drugs. And no it wasn't fireworks.
Anyone else see this on Long Island or in the Northeast last night?
I remember a thread about vortexes appearing so maybe this is related.
Peace out |

Quoting: ShamansDream Actually just last night I saw this weird fireball in the sky. At first I thought it was a meteor but then I wasn't sure because i don't think it was moving as fast as a meteor would. There was no smoke either. Just this huge ball that looked on fire but it was moving and coming closer I think. My mom saw it and said she thought she saw an outline of a plane so if it was a plane on fire and crashing that's horrible, but the weird thing is we never heard about this in the news. :/ But I just wonder what it was.... |

I saw something very similar to this about 1 week ago. I was driving up my block toward the main road as usual, I happen to look up in the sky and saw a fireball, it wasnt to high maybe about 200 feet above the houses on the other side of the road. At 1st it was moving very slowly from left to right for about 5 min. I just sat there and watched, until it came to a stop, then it just sat there stationary for about 10 min. I am not exactly sure what happen to it because I had to leave as I was already sitting there for about 10-15 min and a car was coming up in back of me. I can't say I know what is was but it was very strange, then again it could have just been a flare of some sort. This happened around the Bethpage, Hicksville area. |
