If everyone did what he did, the backups at the checkpoints would be gone, because the inland checkpoints would be dismantled and the resources sent to the physical border.

The Supreme Court only upheld that you must stop at the checkpoints because they knew the searches and questioning that would occur at them would be unconstitutional.

You only have to stop at them, but you don't have to answer any questions or submit to any searches.

No, but we'd better keep our eye on anything that's different from the way it's been before. In Texas, there are also checkpoints about 50 miles into the state, just to catch any they may have missed on the border - those have been there as long as I can remember. What I want to know is if there have been changes in the behavior and policies in the running of them. What kind of questions are being asked today compared to say, twenty years ago? I don't know, since I haven't been near that far south in that long, and from what I hear about all the fun down there, haven't the least inclination to go visit. Flagstaff was far enough south in AZ for me.

I live in southern-Arizona. I frequently travel all over southern Arizona. Haven't seen any Nazi check points. Never felt "VIOLATED" like a rape victim. Grow the fuck up. The only check points I've seen are the ones in Nogales to try to get into Sonora. That's it. I've lived in Tucson, Rio Rico, Green Valley, and Sahuarita for the last 17 years.
