We didn't have a thing to do with any of your goddamned problems. Your problems were caused by you, not by older people. People your age that prepared are employed and making good money. It was up to you to prepare.

they all claim they worked so hard.

they typically could pay their way through college waiting tables(those jobs arent even AVAILABLE FOR AMERICANS ANYMORE not to mention tuition is sky high). IF they didn't go to college, they could afford a house, two cars, medical and pension ON ONE SALARY. THESE PEOPLE ARE LAZY AND SELF CENTERED. TIME FOR A CORRECTION.

No I just can't agree because I don't FEEL it. It's as though I am sitting back and looking on from the outside and just wondering how people turn on each other as they do?

I am wondering how some young adults can have so much anger? they have sat and had everything given to them, sit all day and night playing their video games waiting on Dad to mw the lawn and Mom to come home from work and fix their supper, and yet they hate everyone.1dunno1
 Quoting: MONSTER

Nobody is even asking you to fix anything. No young person would even want you to try after seeing how badly you fucked everything up in the first place. You wouldn't even be capable of fixing it you're so fucking incompetent.

All anybody is asking is that you acknowledge your responsibility for it. You shipped all the jobs to China, you sucked the public tit to the tune of 16 billion dollars, you begged Bush to take as much freedom as he could to make you safe from the non-existent terrorists. You fucking did that. If you had any shame or decency at all, the least you would do was admit it. That's all anybody asks.

Re: Why all the hate on "babyboomers"?
All generations bring good & bad to our society...

Silent Generation=tough economic times

Baby Boomers=work ethic

Gen X=great care givers to their children

Gen Y=able to absorb new technology

Gen YI=instant gratification

History teaches us that every 5 generations resets itself...Our next generation will not "shell-shock" and restore the "good"...praying that it is true

I am hoping that they will stop the madness of todays society...porn, fraud, instant gratification, think long term thinking & make it through tough economic times.

No one actually hates baby boomer op

I think you need to look at the natural progression of government if you want to blame something. The natural progression is for government to accumulate more and more power. More and more control over the lives of the people. Less and less freedom. Less and less avenues for success.

This can't be stopped by normal means, i.e. voting. People like you want to blame someone, anyone. Anyone or anything except what is really responsible.

I understand. It's a human attribute to look for and assign blame. You have settled on a single generation, who are no more to blame than a rabbit is to blame.

I suggest that the baby boomers are no more to blame than the every other generation that preceeded them. And every future generation. You will find that out when you are the age of the people you hate so much right now.

It is all an accident of birth, nothing more. If you are bitter and angry, fine, but it will do you no good.

Re: Why all the hate on "babyboomers"?
This is perhaps off topic a little but it may shed some light on things.

If you look at the history of culture, philosophy, and art every 50-100 years the culture would completely reverse itself based on intellectual challenges and movements. For instance you had the Enlightenment, based in scientific thought and reason, then it was completely countered by Romanticism and views of inspiration and artistic thought, then Romanticism was replaced by classicism, scientific thought that sought to determine and classify everything insofar as it was possible. The same ebb and flow working its way out through history great minds and movements challenging the contemporary culture, the effects of the changes at the intellectual level would trickle down into immediate culture and daily life and the western world would progress through ebb and flow. Culture, science, art, education was always moving man to challenge what was going on. In the late 19th century modernism emerged and, never being countered, flowed into post-modernism whenever it did, there wasn't any real change or challenge of modernism.
In the 1960's we were historically well overdue for a cultural ebb to counter the flow and the 60's in America showed all the marks of doing it and very well many things were achieved. It was natural time for change and challenge and our culture desperately needed it and some stuff was achieved but all the intellectual leadership of whatever counter history was going to muster was killed off, MLK Jr., JFK, Bobby Kennedy, Pope John Paul I (he wanted to give the Vatican's money to the poor) and no one else dared to stand up, the philosophical heart of what was happening was destroyed and as the seventies rolled on everything about the sixties was commercialized, we kept the drugs and said good bye to the intellectual leaders and that is all we've had since, it is 2012 and people are saying we've gone into post-post-modernism. Had MLK jr., JFK, Bobby Kennedy, JPI, been allowed to live and speak and educate freely who knows where their actions would have led, even with their time being cut short they achieved a lot. But no one has dared to stand up after this and we have continued down a burn out stretch.

People are able to stand up now and the internet has helped, but I doubt the Illuminati/Freemasonic/Zionist/Frenchcanadian/Visa/MacDonald's cabal even cares they're probably quite far along on their plans and anytime anyone does stand up they aren't really able to counter the burnt out culture we live in. Look at christians always saying, rapture, rapture, vision, vision, vision, rapture, rapture, REVELATION, PROPHECY. It is virtually the same with new agers, nobody, tao de chin, mystical, mystical, divine feminine, christ consciousness, SOMETHING NEW, SOMETHING NEW, SOMETHING NEW. TZMers, RBE, RBE, RBE, mass automation, mass automation, SUPERCOMPUTER CONTROL, SUPER COMPUTER CONTROL. Conspiracy theorists, cabal, cabal, Illuminati, Masonry, 9/11, 9/11, FEMA FEMA FEMA. Virtually everyone has been sucked into a cult of his/her own liking, not applying the faculties of the human mind, but wasted on a specific way of thinking like its a drug, tunnel visioned to doom. Of these groups we can hardly blame the conspiracy theorist though but some take it to a level wherein we never made it to the moon but have a battlestation on mars. We are lost people, try telling a new ager all their correlations and beliefs in the truth that there is no truth is contradictory, try telling a christian the rapture is not a biblically sound concept, try telling a zeitgeister that a centrally controlled world could be a dangerous idea, nothing challenged culture and caused men to think at a deep and fundamental level and we've turned into a culture of cults.

The logic works like this.

The government is composed of people
70% of all adults are Babyboomers.
Therefore, if you dislike the current government, you dislike the last 20 years of Babyboomer reign.

(They hold 85% of ALL wealth by the way.)
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1844358

^^^THIS^^^, OP, is why most people hate the babyboomers!!! Do you need more proof?

I'm fine surviving the way I am but I know a lot of people are fucked with useless skills that can barely get them by. A lot of people even with degrees have very few useful skills that can make them money in the really world. Degrees are meant for people who want to spend their life being a slave to the corporate system. Who wants to work minimum wage for their whole life in a "well developed" country like America? I ain't gonna lie that there are a lot of lazy fucks out there. That is true, but why are there so many lazy fucks with useless skills in the portfolio? Why? I'll tell you why. America's education system is SHIT!!! They teach you bullshit skills that are of no real use in the real world. All of the skills I have that I know can make me money I learned outside of the classroom. I learned them OTJ or on my own or on the streets. I could find a new way to make money each and everyday in an entrepreneur like fashion because of how I currently think. I didn't have those skills or mindset when I finished high school or got out of the military. I got that mindset after having a couple of successful businesses.

Yes that is a big part of it, we have such an information overload it is hard to handle, it seems like everyone takes some tangent by accepting a few of the lies and burrows deeper into his/her delusion. Feeding that delusion is man's own ego, look at the new agers watching a David Wilcock lecture, they are there because the want defy the past and think of themselves as new free thinkers, all them will agree to some extent but afterwards will say, "I like most of what he said, but..." and then they fornicate in something else they found from some other newager or whatever, everyone wants to think they have the truth that no one else does and there is absolutely tons of info out there for them to play with. It is the exact same with most rapture/zionist believing christians and their views on eschatology. Every man is lost in the hell of his own making. The jumbled mess translates its way into the very minds of men

The Federal Reserve Banking system went into effect in 1913, long before the Boomers were ever born. Social Security was under FDR also pre-Boomer.

We were born into a system stacked against us and did the best we could.

Now who elected Obama? It sure as shit wasn't the Boomers! That is the current generations great contribution to society?

So you see it isn't the players, it's the game. Boomers greatest fault was to raise a generation of totally spoiled and self-absorbed kids who are now having a problem dealing with the real world.

Things are tough all over. Deal with it.

The country has been fucked up since the Federal Reserve Banking was put into effect.

Long before Boomers.

But don't blame the Boomers if your generation can't compete on a global scale. Half of you can't even make change or use a ruler! And yeah, those are things Boomers taught themselves with the two jobs they worked to pay their way through college. We did strange things like read actual books and try to improve our minds. Try it sometime instead of just whining.

I guess it's a terrible shock to find out you can't make a living playing video games.

Yeah, but ain't it lovely? J/K.

I will never understand the human race, and why it is so obsessed with this shit. It makes no sense. I just want to be at peace, but I can't find peace so I go about in a never-ending circle in search of it. I'm getting tired of searching because it feels like I have the answer but no one wants to listen. Everybody thinks I'm full of shit or like you said...they have their "own" better twist to my answer. Really?!?! Who cares?

Humans innate desire for control is the biggest problem of the human race. Control, selfishness, and power are big problems for the human race because we always feel like we need more of these traits and they always have to be at our side. I'm not going to lie that these traits do come in handy especially when dealing with, gratification, life in general, and mother nature; but, why exactly do we fixate on them so much?

The federal reserve problem was remediable ever see money printed under JFK? There is a big difference, the dollar you have now says, "This money is legal tender for all debts public and private" Money minted under JFK says, "This money is legal tender for all debts public and private." Note the period, in business law terms a writing without a period expresses a thought, a writing with a period is a statement, and as a full legal statement and sentence it is binding, hence JFK's money was backed by gold. He minted legal constitutional money without revoking the charter.

Human's have reason (mental faculties, understanding, intellect, imagination, intuition), Spirit (will self control) and desires (sex, amusement, alchohol, food, etc.) On top of this, we are somewhat incomplete in and of ourselves, we are always going outside of ourselves, no one is content being completely idle, some write books, some read philosophy, some pursue the things of the spirit -war games, athletics, victory, some pursue desires, sex, drugs, rock and roll... our modern mantra. The controlers seek to secure the fact that they will always be able to engage in whatever activity they wish- these are mostly the sick people mad for their desires, they exercise reason and spirit insofar as it secures their participation in desires... sometimes along the way they might just happen to find power itself gratifying... then we have real sickos... When one can't control one's own desires one has to control the world so one can have whatever one wants...

Those are just my thoughts on your question. If you want to understand man I would suggest going to Plato's Republic or Aristotle's Noccomachean Ethics, or Ethics. You can get their stuff online for free at gutenberg... We can't perfectly define man or men's motives, or ethics or beauty, or truth, or justice, but we can have pretty good ideas and we can rationally delve into beautiful discussions and arguments and find that there's pleasure in thinking... some see this a pitfall of creation.. some think this is the beauty we were made to participate in.

Re: Why all the hate on "babyboomers"?
divide & conquer
Love is not the game, life is.
-
When we wake up in this "reality" every morning, we are actually falling asleep, because only in our dreams we are truly awake.
-
We are not our body, nor our mind. We are not the voice in our body, nor our head. We are the the here and now, experiencing without any input from either of the mentioned above.
-
It's not about others forgiving you, but whether you can forgive yourself.
-
It doesn't take much energy to make the wrong decision. But to make the right one, you have to put every fiber of your being to it.
-
I know i have a lot to work on. But knowing that there's no hairy ass man in the clouds to judge me when I have little bit of fun on the expense of someone elses ignorance, makes life a whole lot easier.

We didn't have a thing to do with any of your goddamned problems. Your problems were caused by you, not by older people. People your age that prepared are employed and making good money. It was up to you to prepare.

we must spend the first 3 decades of our lives to prepare to serve the Boomers.

EVERY generation feels the same.

BOOMERS ARE TOTAL HYPOCRITES.

they all claim they worked so hard.

they typically could pay their way through college waiting tables(those jobs arent even AVAILABLE FOR AMERICANS ANYMORE not to mention tuition is sky high). IF they didn't go to college, they could afford a house, two cars, medical and pension ON ONE SALARY. THESE PEOPLE ARE LAZY AND SELF CENTERED. TIME FOR A CORRECTION.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2094322

One, no matters which category you want to pigeon-hole yourself into (or let others do for you), has to make use of the possibilities at that moment.

So there are no waiters jobs for students? Then park cars. Work at McDonalds or the local grocery store. They always hire.

An means to an end. Use what is before you. But whatever we do, do not make too many excuses. Yes, these are hard times. But to be a student now is the best position to be in really.
