An Egyptian Member of Parliament from the Nour Party (Salafist) has announced that he would like to see strict enforcement of Sharia law relative to punishment for various forms of criminal behavior. That punishment would include crucifixion. Via the Egyptian Independent: The People’s Assembly Proposals and Complaints Committee discussed in a meeting Tuesday a bill proposed by MP Adel Azzazy from the Salafi-oriented Nour Party that would apply Islamic law for certain crimes. The proposed law calls for the application of “Heraba,” an Islamic penalty for criminal actions that include overt robbery, murder, forcible taking of property with a weapon and vandalizing public facilities. The penalties according to Azzazy’s bill are execution in the case of murder, or cutting one arm and one leg from opposite sides of the culprit’s body in the cases of robbery and forcible taking of property. If the taking of possessions is accompanied by murder, the penalty would be death or crucifixion, to be determined by the judge.  |

Sorry man, I just gave you the FACTS, your thread is nothing but fictions, like the last few propaganda that turned out just as false. If our President said he wants Sharia, yes, that means it stays in the Constitution as always, the Referendum was held already. The Sharia issue is sealed, it will stay the same as it was during Mubarak. We got a judiciary according to the french model and it's being worked on constantly with international help. NOTHING will change, it stays as is. Sharia has been in Article 2 ALWAYS and applies to Muslims only for family issues. The rest is propaganda and untrue! AGAIN, this MP IF he said that, he won't be talking again about it...no People's Assembly, it was dissolved. At least try to keep up with our politics if you try to spread lies. |
