Sign in the sky. It had to be in Madrid (Spain) Finally updated with video.
So while the Spanish capital goes trough violent protests. A "meteorite" decides to make an apparition. Last night around 2.10 Madrid time. Photo on link.

Is it a sign or just a meteorite, nothing to see here kind of thing?

If you live in the Centre of the Peninsula last night you woke up a loud sound and saw how the sky is lighted suddenly, it was not a dream. On 2: 10 in the morning and about 30 or 40 kilometres above the Earth's surface, stellar fragments unraveled in the Earth's atmosphere at some point between Toledo and Madrid. "Everything points to a fragment of a comet", explains to the Huffington Post Jose Maria Madiedo, Professor at the Faculty of experimental sciences of Huelva.

"Was like a Flash in the sky, as the light from a lighthouse that came out of the sky," explains Rafael Rojas, a journalist who saw it while working in his flat in Madrid and immediately tuiteo what happened in search of an explanation, a little scared. His reaction is not surprising: "has been almost as bright as the Sun, for a second day has been made." "Impressive", has the researcher of Huelva. They are still investigating the phenomenon. This type of very bright meteors are called Roadsters.

The Flash, explains the expert, has been so strong that even noted in the Sierra Nevada, 300 or 400 kilometres. Some witnesses have spoken on social networks (where the phenomenon has been comentadisimo under the hashtag # meteoritomadrid) also of a loud noise. "Probably has been accompanied by sound, depends on where the observer has been located", points Madiedo. "In these cases is heard an explosion like that is heard when a plane breaks the sound barrier".

According to witnesses it came with a loud bang. Experts say this is quite normal in this cases. Is it?

Nothing strange about it!

Well been able to see it from 700kms away is quite something but my point really was that lights in the sky are associated to prophecies and signs. with everything that is happening in Madrid lately a sign in the sky could mean something. Who knows?

There was one here not too long ago as well... I can't find the video now, but I know there is one. I don't watch TV so I don't know the "official" story, but it looks very similar.

Also had one in Perth, beautiful photo.

THIS fiery streak in the sky amazed Perth beachgoers at sunset as a suspected meteor plunged into the ocean off the WA coast.

Let's say events such as this are not common but the do happen once in a while.

I was a witness to the Kincardine Event in Michigan that happened September 17th 1966. A VERY IMPRESSIVE bolide fireball.

Meteors such as this have been seen since recorded history began.

Meteors and comets have been long associated with signs, superstition, bad luck, etc.

I guess it would be bad luck to actually be hit by one but other than that it's a bunch of BS.

All based in ignorance and fear of something not understood.
