Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 18818840 United States 07/15/2012 12:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sounds like lucid-dreaming or astral projection. if you really want to stop it (i think it's aa great gift if you start working with it) you could get some fluorides, but i guess thats unhealthy. you could also try to cut on food that has much tryptophan or vit B6, but that could cause depression. One reason is probably that you wake up and go back to bed in the morning, that can cause dreams to get very vivid. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18644011 Well my body automatically wakes itself up after 5-6 hours of sleep for some reason(usually I have to pee). I would soo love just to sleep 8-9 hours straight without waking up. I will check into those fluorides. |

Try take advantage, i've been reading on dreamviews about lucid dreaming, just got myself some Choline Bitartrate and Galantamine, and started a dream diary. Although it doesn't sound safe happening to you whilst standing up. Be careful. Quoting: AS ABOVE I agree totally, and I really recommend you (the OP) to take a deep look in lucid dreaming and sleep paralizyz. You also have to know that if things like lightswitches don't work it's a common sign for dreaming. It just sounds like you're having an attack of anxiety because you don't know what your into and can't handle it. You just have to know that you have the power over this state. |

Ok if the refrigerator light didn't work in my dream when I opened the door maybe it was just a dream then? I was expecting the light to go on when I opened the door but everything remained dark and thats when panic and body vibrations set in and the floating back to my body took place. Wonder if its possible if the floating back to my body was part of a dream as well? |

Wonder if its possible if the floating back to my body was part of a dream as well? My theory would be that that that floating part is a result of your panic(waking up of a nightmare), and because your dream is very vivid you can experience the process of waking up in another way than others do. And i would also guess that those vibrations are the sleep paralisys you also experience because your some kind of lucid. But if you could avoid that panic you'd be able to have some great experiences. |

But if you could avoid that panic you'd be able to have some great experiences. I guess the main thing I need to deal with is the panic. This has happened many and I mean many times in the past. When this first started happening I actually seen everything around me while floating back to my body but I try to tune it out as much as I can and lately I just see black(which is a good thing) I just dont want to see any weird figures or anything. My dreaming is also messed up because I see all kinds of random images and videos a few minutes before I am knocked out to sleep and it also seems like I am totally aware when transitioning from the awake to the dream state. I will just try to remain as calm as I can be when these episodes happen again. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 19813996 United Kingdom 07/15/2012 01:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Anyone know how to stop these? I have these multiple times per week. I had one again last night. I think what I am experiencing is an OBE. For instance last night(early this AM) I find myself by my refrigerator and then I open the door(atleast I think I did) and then the light doesn't go on and then fear starts to step in but at the same time I am aware that my body is full of vibrations. While I feel the vibration all over my body, its feels as if I am floating and being pulled back into my body. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18818840 This usually happens if I wake up after say 5-6 hours of sleep and then I go back to bed. Once I go back to sleep I have these experiences usually within 30-45 minutes. Anyone know what this is or what is causing it? I don't like it when this happens. You are just another liar. But giving the benefit of the doubt I suggest you control them rather than try to stop them. If you can control them to your advantage the next step is bi-location!!! |
AS ABOVE User ID: 15583884 Australia 07/15/2012 01:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | --- I would think I'm still awake, falling asleep but having a weird sence, a strange sensation that would make me open my eyes to reassure me I'm awake, everything seems fine although, I cannot move.. I panic, frozen, I relax... Knowing it is paralysis, relaxing usually is the most helpful or moving my toes (my gf knows to check sometimes its a tell sign, she has woken me a few times) or I manage to make some vocal groan when I think I'm yelling at the top of my lungs... Most of the time you know you aren't making a sound and it's scary. Sometimes if I don't wake up I try to go deeper by relaxing, I hear a loud deap bassy buzzing sound, it's crazy the first time, it's like your literally vibrating into the dream state consciously.. Then comes the weird parts (where your experience comes in, the fridge) where I think I wake up, my girlfriends sleeping, I think "phew" because sometimes it's a relief, so I get out of bed to get a drinking of water but as I stand and go to walk everything goes fuzzy, I look at my window, everythings is so real but I'm dreaming... I take advantage and jump through the wall try to fly... It really feels like your weightless, you can feel your stomach turn. Everything gets hard to control, like the physics are totally differant, it's all thought and not physical at all. Hard to describe... I usually wake up or drift off somewhere and remember some parts and forget alot. Hope this helps. Last Edited by CYBERDELIK on 07/15/2012 01:43 PM Anything in life worth doing is worth overdoing.
