This thread is the problem with the human condition front and center. I, me, mine, self-delusion that the individual in this day and age is an island unto him or herself and that no one or anybody helps them out.
I built this business with my own two hands. I put in the time and effort. I spent my money and my leisure time for this business. It's all about stroking the ego and emphasizing the self-importance. Individualism is good but like anything else needs to be tempered. How do you think civilization has lasted so long. It hasn't been from turning into our individual islands its been through cooperation.

But not all Owners do this. Kudos to another sane person on the planet. That is how I handled my employess. You are priceless. Showing appreciation for your employees in no way means the employee built your business. Now you are just connecting things that don't connect.
