There might be far less, but that's not who's letting them out of jail. We have other segments of society that not only commit violent assaults but hide under religious freedom protections to continue them and consistently escape proper punishment. From what I've seen on some of the 'men's rights' fora, there are plenty of white men in the country who seem to think that any woman who isn't living under virtual purdah should be treated exactly as badly as the victim in this story. The evil is patriarchy, not just liberalism.

OP, this shouldn't be necessary here at GLP, but a little more insight about the little value India places on the lives of girls, even today, might help some posters here to understand that this is not an 'isolated case' but a commonplace incident based on a prevailing attitude there. I have recently been quite astonished to notice a great deal of American support on the MRA fora for that idea that widows who have no children, or any childless elderly woman, should be stripped of all social support and left to die. We often see males from India on this forum denouncing anyone who finds the above links horrifying as an evil feminist who plots the downfall of all men, GLP males, as a rule, tend to agree with them. What does this say about us, I wonder? It's easy to say we're 'better' than some third world country far away, but if we are, I cannot believe it is because of the innate goodness of the male half of our population - that may be why most 'men's rights' advocates are trying to get support for the idea of stripping the vote from women too.

I hope you understand, OP, that the few we have left in this country who, like you, find this shocking, are the only hope our civilization has left. As brain-dead as our population has become, both men and women and all ethnic groups, we'll not find many to take a stand for decency anywhere. We're back to looking for 'ten honest men' to save a society and I'm wondering if we'll be any luckier this time around. Darkness is coming. I have never made the least pretense for being religious but even I can see that every once in a while, scripture nails it.

P.S. That creep from India that comes here with all his women-bashing threads has a website of his own where he posts and encourages so much filth. You'll find him here easily enough and he always links people to his disgusting site but if I see it again today, I'll bring the link in here. We have people posting online, all over the place, who are advocating violence and murder of women in 'civilized' countries. I have reported these to a bouquet of federal agencies and federally-funded organizations, but I don't know how much good that will do.

Do you remember the case in Montreal in 1989 when a man went in to a college, separated the sexes of students and massacred a bunch of female engineering students because he thought they were 'feminists?' He was one of these 'men's rights' guys who lost a case in court to his wife - because he was found guilty of domestic violence. And guess what: most of these damned nuts are white, just for the record.
