why do Americans hate Universal health care?

Why are there so many commies in the US.. Health care is not a right.. Its a choice.. You can have it you can get it or dont get it.. Its not the place of the goverment to force health care on people.. I should not be forced to pay for something I will never use.. It should be MY COICE weather or not I want health care.. If I dont want it cool.. I dont need to get it.. If the poor guy down the street wants it COOL for him.. But a Person that does NOT WANT IT SHOULD NOT BE FORCED TO GET IT

You don't know you will never use it. Accidents happen even to the healthiest people. Health care should be all of society's responsibility.

This is a good beginning. Maybe owning land too. I'd also require that the candidates appear without party labels, so that only informed voters could vote a party line. The "row" on a voting machine should be randomly assigned to various party candidates so that they don't have any positional advantage.

I would favor universal health care. However, Obamacare is universal health insurance. If you can afford the copays, then you can get care. Oh, and you have to buy the insurance as well unless you're very poor.

I totally agree. They would have to kill me first. Not only is it unconstitutional and gives them total control over you, but it is the most blasphemous thing you can do. But, people with health care coverage then visit hospitals, they get paid. Increase staff to aid those, and build more hospitals. So not seeing the lose portion yet.

Not reading the other posts I just want to add that solidarity does not necessarily lead to a better society, you need the suiting persons to lead such a system to success.

In continental Europe the solidarity in health care for everybody forced by a must have insurance paid by everybody did not improve health in anyway. People are reckless to their bodies because everything is assured and now they want to force laws that help getting access to organs for the recklessest (transplant liver for the alcoholics, lungs for the smokers, hearts for the fat diabetics, aso).

The same with the social benefits: why work if somebody fixes my outcome, may it be food or shelter.

Great new world, fixed by the healthy living and hard working minority in the so called democratic countries, but the system is overturning itself and you will have civil wars in Europe if the productive countries would stop feeding the lazy ones.

Use your brain or take a look at nature: serve the food and the animal forgets to hunt and even to move (there are self-explanatory animal test with Caenorhabditis elegans)

Go read some of the horror stories about Britans National Health Care system. People dying from dehyradation because the govt. paid nurses won't give them water because they have to change the bed sheets more often if they do.

People drinking water out of flower vases to stay alive.

Why would you want to turn your life over to some affirmative action government nurse? Who might decide to just not give you water and kill you because you're white?

I'd say the majority of Americans that actually want to work don't subscribe to the hive mentality.

I'd rather do for myself and take my chances then allow some government agency make decisions for me.

Bottom line for me anyway is that I really don't give a crap about people I don't know personally. I don't care if someone a thousand miles away doesn't have health care, a roof over their head or food to eat. It's really none of my business.
