I started watching Breaking Bad..This show Is Fucking Awesome

Oh, I should add that we do know it's a flash forward b/c so far not quite a year has gone by since the beginning of Season 1. Walt hasn't had his 51st b-day yet.

"Breaking Bad" is coming close to replacing "Deadwood" as my all-time-ever favorite TV show... it's just brilliant on every level. As a non-cable person I can only say, hurrah for iTunes, I'm downloading S5E2 right now. So glad I don't have to wait a year!

yeah i know...i didn't disclose it ends abruptly because it's worth the watch anyhow. ;) intense show.

But yeah I have the same prediction sort of. Suicide mission.the ending will be epic, but it will not end well for Walt. I think the transformation he has Ben thru is one thing that makes the show so great.

Okay after seeing numerous threads about this show I'm starting Season 1 tonight on Netflix...hard to beat watching all previous episodes for $8.

GLP got me started on The Walking Dead and it's awesome, but you all should watch my favorite...Justified...I could be biased though.

As someone else had stated, season two sucked, but I continued watching every episode. The episode "Fly" sucked and made for a terrible filler.

Actually I'm not a bro, lol.

Justified is a great show too, but not quite up there with BB and DW.

As for the episode "The Fly" it wasn't my favorite but I wouldn't say it sucked. It showed some crucial interaction between Walt & Jesse and the differences in the way they handle things. And Walt almost confessed to Jesse...

Don't expect Breaking Bad to be fast paced. Breaking Bad takes its time to develop the characters and the story unlike other shows. The script, story, suspense, character development and the cinematography is what makes this show! It's such a beautiful setting and the characters are so likable. And when we get some action, it's so wonderful executed. I can't tell you about some action sequences in this show without spoiling everything but your jaw will literally drop to the floor when the sh** hits the fan. Breaking Bad takes time to build up the intense scenes. For example, during the two final episodes of season 3 I could barely breathe because the scenes were so intense and I was sitting on the edge of my seat.

But as I said. Don't expect the series to be fast paced because TV-shows are not just about having action-filled scenes in every episode. You will find some episodes of Breaking Bad to be dull but just try and follow the plot and dialogue as best as you can and things will get more interesting. Breaking Bad is not a show for people with short attention spans. It's an intelligent show for intelligent people who knows what a good TV-show should consist of. Each season of Breaking Bad just gets better and better and now that season 5 started I see no signs that the show will decline in quality. The first two episodes of season 5 started out very promising and will be the best season yet in my opinion. It's a shame that it will be the last season but it's better to stop when you're on top isntead of having 2 - 3 half-assed seasons like Dexter.

Never heard much about these shows. Can someone fill me in? Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, the Killing? TX!!! I def need some new shows to get hooked on! :)

Breaking Bad is about a high school chemistry teacher who turns meth-cook after he learns that he has terminal cancer.....he starts off as some milquetoast type of middle-aged guy with a wife, a disabled teenaged son and a baby on the way. He is pretty miserable in a quiet sort of way and he works two jobs to take care of his family.

When he discovers what kind of money could be had in the crystal meth business, he hooks up with a former student of his and begins his career in cooking....

That's a bit over simplified, but it is really a well-written story that hooks you with great characters and a totally believable storyline, imo.......

Also, the main character, Walter White, is played by Bryan Cranston. He played "Hal," on the show Malcolm In The Middle....

I found the entire first episode on YouTube with good quality. Check it out if you're not following Breaking Bad. You will most likely get hooked after the first episode, if not, this is not the show for you.

Never seen it, but is is filmed in Albuquerque. Been a couple places where they were filming.

Some of us have the ability to see television as purely entertainment without being "controlled" by it.

Guess you haven't figured out how to do that yet?

Bluebird, drop your cable or dish/satellite tv provider and just get a roku box and netflix and hulu plus! You can watch almost any movie/show you can think of and its like 75% cheaper than cable or dish
