Why the Facination with Hitler?
Love him or hate him, that name stirs up some type of perverted facination. But mention Stalin, Mussolini or Churchhill,(all tyrants in their own way)and a host of others, and no one really gives a shit.

I read that he was heavily into the occult and had communications with various demonic entities. They promised him power in exchange for his soul.

"Because Hitler had style. He made evil look good."

i'm afraid i have to agree here.

but that would be down to the designer uniforms (by Hugo Boss) & the mean looking equipment.

The Nazis were the epitomy of evil, but they had style for sure.

The whole German hierarchy was into the occult and astrology. Some wouldn't make a move without consulting their charts first. The Brits attempted to use it against them by publishing false astrology readings in German magazines in hopes of getting the Germans to make strategic mistakes based on the false readings.

Hitler had a stage mystic teach him "large gestures" for those huge rallies. They were supposedly used to emphasise his speech to those further back in the crowd, but many that attended the rallies said they left feeling he had used some sort of mind control on them.

Yes I think he had it.
However, I think that the source of that power will only take some high enough to make the fall all the more painful.
It is now back in the museum he removed it from, probably waiting for the next power hungry leader to come for it.

Re: Why the Facination with Hitler?
The book I read was by a guy named Trevor Ravenscroft. It's named, aptely, The Spear of Destiny. In it, he suggests that during Hitlers speeches he was actually possesed by a demonic entity who spoke through him. After each speech the entity would depart leaving Hitler totally emotionally and physically exhausted and on the verge of collapse.

Re: Why the Facination with Hitler?
I think the fascination is also the fact that it was Germany who followed Hitler...

I mean, Mussolini, Italy... 3rd rate military power, pretty much all of their WWII offensives failed. Just another inefficient dictatorship, nothing new there.

Stalin, Russia... 2nd rate military power, even being on the defensive they took something like 10-1 casualties against the Germans. Stalin was a typical evil overlord, using mass numbers and sheer size to get the job done.

The thing about Nazi Germany that makes it fascinating is that it didn't fall into any of the evil overlord stereotypes. They were always outnumbered, outgunned, yet still they swept almost everything aside. Did you know that even the Polish army in 1939 was bigger than the German one, at least in pure numbers?

Fascism/nazism in Germany was extremely successful in many ways, even if it was evil, and hence I think, the fascination. We're just not used to seeing the "bad guys" fighting better, harder, and smarter than the "good guys" in a head-to-head war.

I can't think of any other case in history where this has been the case, from a nation vs nation perspective.

Re: Why the Facination with Hitler?
From the Source."Let us take Hitler Himself. There are many here that wished he had never been born.
There were many that admired Germany. For Germany was wealthy and Germany was powerful, and its influence spilled into other countries.
You would find that the inventiveness came from Hitler himself. The space program was born here.
Hitler had the opportunity to be that of a Messiah to his people. And if it wasn't for the self-damning persecution of the Jew,Hitler and the Nazi system would have become a world movement.
And if this didn't happen, the world might have been affected perhaps a bit worse."

He also alluded that Hitler was a psychic himself and could channel.I don't know what he was in communication with.
Some of his artworks supposedly contained works on reptilians. This is generally not a good sign.

Every day on sky the history channels have programmes regarding Hitler and his hench men. He did posses charisma and during one of his rallies he arrived on the stage and was silent for for three minutes. There were thousands of people in the audience waiting to hear him speak but you could have heard a pin drop. Such was the power of Adolf Hitler. He was loved by men and women alike. People need someone to follow. Someone to worship someone to lift them from their mundane lives.

Re: Why the Facination with Hitler?
1366- I don't think that Germany in the 30's would be looked upon as being wealthy but may have been admired because of the rapid advancement of it's economy and military capability. Shaking off the post WW1 gloom, the Versialles shackles and the Weimar degeneracy would certainly be one of the national miracles of the 20th century and would have explained the contemporary fascination with Hitler. What most people overlook is the well documented reason why "Germany must be Smashed- W. Churchill as quoted by Fuller)" Her economic miracle was accomplished by bartering the production of the nation as opposed to the debt financing options that the rest of the western world embraced. This example of course could not be allowed to stand. ( example X number of German Locomotives for X tonnes of coffee form Brazil with no NY or London Banking establishment getting 'skim'. Her destruction was assured...
This would have fascinated historians and economists and may explain why so little has been written on this fact. In those nationalistic days, leaders personified their countries therefore Hitler was Germany.
I am not well versed in esoteric aspects but my reading hence my facination with the personage points to a mystical element
being involved- and a dark one. I think Hitler himself confided to a friend about a voice commanding him to enter politics while recuperating (blinded) from a gas attack and hearing news of Germany's capitulation. I believe he also stated that he met with sub-terrainian giants that frightened him. Anyone know the source?

AHHHHH!!!!! Bingo McGill! grab a free beer.

He was a pawn in the game as is Georgie Bush. It is a Hegelian mystical mythtical and philosophical plot dates back to the 1700's. It is rooted in the culmenation of Kaos that brings us ever closer to Godliness. A theory put forth by a Mad Man [hegel] and accepted by men of power as a way to gain power. Yet not Godly Power I assure you.
A power brought forth in Nationalisim however rooted in a power that transcends nations. The power of money and those that posses and control the currencies of this little world.
Bingo McGill.

Re: Why the Facination with Hitler?
All this talk about Demonic possession of Hitler really is not hard to accept.

Some people may believe that demonic possession was only stories told in the Bible. But, they are real today just as in days during the time of Jesus.

You know that Hitler lived as a very devout believer, but somehow, the demons did take over his mind and even today the minds of many, even on GLP, operate with demons in charge.
Nothing matters more to me than that I feel good.

Re: Why the Facination with Hitler?
demons? A metaphor for the dark nature of man if ever i heard one.

Hitler had a belief system which he imparted making it "reality". In that "reality" what the nazis did was acceptable. Kind of a mass hysteria on a national scale.

it is an abject lesson in how easily the average are influenced given the right circumstances.

We must be vigilant.

Hitler really did have charisma. Which is why I have to say it is unfair to characterise GWB as being like him. Hitler was far more memorable and appealing and such a comparison is an insult to him.

Japan was also basically destroyed by the time the nukes were ready. The person above said it correctly. The Japanese were not white so they were nuked. If the deaths on 911 had been 100 times greater it STILL wouldn't have been sufficient payback for what the US did to Japan alone...
