That's because nobody wants to watch a 7 hour game of kickball...they'd rather watch real American football...

Actually...Americans are the ONLY ones who like American Football. That's the reason why NO OTHER COUNTRY PLAYS IT.

To me, football is about as fun to watch as a bunch of rednecks racing around in perpetual circles (Nascar.)

B-O-R-I-N-G.

But hey, if YOU like football...then more power to ya. I'm not going to down you for your interests.

I can see how football and even chess is boring to those that lack the ability to appreciate and understand strategy...
 Quoting: BRIEF

I'm rated as a 1750 in chess. So, I'm pretty astute there. I was a former cage fighter who trained several here in Indiana before I decided that violence was for children.

This is one of my former students getting into the ring named "Mike Butcher." That's me behind him walking him to the ring. I was his trainer. If there was ever a game of chess put into a sport, it would be cage fighting, boxing, and kickboxing. You TRULY have to find your opponent's weaknesses in order to beat them and use leveraging tactics to place them off-balance. To me, football lacks the critical thinking skills to be compared to chess. With football, there are numerous plays, the action is stopped repetitively, and the opponent is given time to re-group and think about the beating they're being given. This isn't the case with combat sports. Secondly, with football...the coach does all the thinking...not the players.
