I always bless my food when sitting down formally to eat with my husband. And when my chidren still lived at home, we always siad "grace".

IN my prayer, I gives thanks for the food, and say" bless this food to our noursihment".

To add one more thing about "blessings'.... when my children leave, I place the sign of the cross on their forehead and on the outside of thier cars. I ask God to bless my children, and their "comings and goings". My childen are in thier 20s now, are college educated and they still expect this and ask for this when they leave to go out of town.

FYI I also put the sign of the cross on the outside of every plane I enter.
