Houston-area boy dies of infection during California vacation

SAN DIEGO – Health officials are investigating the death of a seven-year-old Spring boy, who died of a severe bacterial infection he may have contracted while on vacation in California, the San Diego County Medical Examiner's office reported.

Tevita's uncle, Sione Niko, confirmed to KFMB-TV that the illness started as a rash under his armpit.
