Bernanke calls Ron Paul audit plan 'nightmare' for Fed

Second guessing monetary policy would be a nightmare because them central bankers would be thrown in jail.

While Mr. Bernanke said he agreed with Mr. Paul that the Fed must be transparent and accountable, he said evidence shows that central banks that make decisions purely on economic factors “will deliver lower inflation and better economic results in the longer term.”
