Re: X Marks the Spot
there is a reason

Regardless of the earlier references to the family of regular polyhedra and their significance in life's architecture on a moving, spherical earth, humans had latched onto the cube as the main building block of mathematics. For Fuller, the 90 degree angles of the cube were a side effect or "precessional effect" of various processes in a universe of angles, curves and arcs. His cube was inscribed by the duotet, two interpenetrating tetrahedra whose eight outer points met cube's eight vertices and gave it an inherent stability.

Kenneth Ring PhD Near Death Experiences as a Compensatory Gift Dr M

listening
 Quoting: aether

He did a research and wrote a book on it. Not sure how good that video is.

The Omega Project. He was one of the first researchers to begin linking the altered states into one semblance of manifestation. Or, he was doing so with the research he decided on.

From Library Journal
Ring, author of Life at Death (Quill: Morrow, 1982), compares the experiences of UFO abductees to the out-of-body journeys of those near death. Initially, his title seems misleading. He mixes a few archetypes and fairy tales with some philosophy and religion, the result of which is a theory regarding the "encounter-prone personality." This type of person represents the spiritual evolution of humankind, people who are tapped into the "Mind at Large"--i.e., a creative, helpful force that will assist us in saving ourselves and our planet from destruction. This book differs from other UFO material in that the question of whether the encounters are real or not is not at issue. The symbolism is what matters, e.g. abductees usually report receiving a physical examination from the aliens. Ring sees this as a warning that we need to examine and to heal ourselves. Loaded with case histories of near-death experiences and UFO encounters, questionnaires, and impressive notes and bibliography, this will appeal to general readers.

I prefer the correlation between birth traumas and mode of abduction: statistically significant.

It underlies the unconcious tides which shape our waking realities.
 Quoting: Dionysian Fullaflattus

Not just subconscious, but conscious tides as well, though in truth conscious tides said in this exchange is far from 'normal' waking consciousness.

The onion layers of consciousness and perception that leads gradiently through and into the subconscious...shapes, colors, sounds, feelings, resonating echoes through life to appear sometimes when unexpected.

Reminds me of the story you tell, Dion, of writing about your youth to your future self.
 Quoting: Septenary Man

Yes, When we deem ourselves to have perfect vision of what was and therefore what is to be; We stop ourselves of dreaming of what could be if only we accepted that before us rather than sculpting what we edit it to be.

Do the 'watchers' watch us through this medium? Seems a very convenient method to do so...

The agenda to watch...

For example, I grew up in a religious home. It was made known to me early on that God 'watches' everything. A bit like Santa.

As a child I would often think on this, wondering how God (Santa) could watch all those people at the same time.

Believing that 'angels' instead were the watchers, I then set my mind to figuring how they watched.

It seems the internet makes a good medium to do so.

Aether, this information was probably all available in Alexandria, correct? When Alexandria (Library) was consumed, the remnants were mostly hidden away, as Christianity was achieving its foothold and had probably deemed it necessary to isolate information detrimental to its furthering, as any of this information would do.

Could you imagine believing things as they are now, and going back and have access to all that lost information? It feels as if it would be a new different world, going into our past and researching all the writings of even a further past. Such an awesome feeling of past 'home', yet at the same time, so alienated from the present.

i know
it is amazing
the good news is a great deal of ancient information is not lost
it is "stored"
and
whatever the original motive was for "censoring"
today it works in our favor because as people become generally more comfortable with the possibilities you mention
our authorizes become more comfortable to bring out of store that which is stored
it is in the the common interest of both
because today
the same information possess different meaning to that which it meant to those whom placed it into store
