Re: X Marks the Spot
Good morning, got 6/7 hours woohoo I have the whole day to myself today :)

Sep I am glad you got the all clear, I once had to have that damn tube put up me, also another down my throat at the same time, was a moving experience, lol, they found polyps, but they were benign, the doctor told me after the procedure, 'oh you have polyps we are unsure if they are benign or not, and will send you the results in about 3 months, so I walked about for 3 months worrying my mind away, then had to argue for results and finally was given the all clear, I have not seen a doctor since, apart from a&e many many times, I was a teenager then about 18 19, am 34 now, I will not let them tell me anything anymore and if my body is ever to fail or turn on me, so be it, patch me up and send me on my way, another adventure will always follow the one you leave behind, it makes me feel good to know you are good.hf

Luna, you are a sharp one huh, your timing is...impeccable, thank you.

Sorry I have been grumpy today. I was greeted with MeMory I oft choose not to remember.

Past catching up to present.

This too will pass...

I know the feeling well, every now and then things are revisited, sometimes it allows one to gauge themselves and their growth over time..or lack thereof lol. Depends what it is that's being revisited of course.. I hope you weren't too disrupted. Hugs.

mankind in amnesia

Immanuel Velikovsky called this book the "fulfillment of his oath of Hippocrates - to serve humanity." In this book he returns to his roots as a psychologist and psychoanalytical therapist, yet not with a single person as his patient but with humanity as a whole. After an extremely revealing overview of the foundations of the various psychoanalytical systems he makes the step into crowd psychology and reopens the case of Worlds in Collision from a totally different point of view: as a psychoanalytical case study. This way he shows that the blatant reactions to his theories (which are still going on today) have not been surprising but are actually inevitable from a psychological perspective - which equally holds for those who have defined our view of the world. At the same time he is able to reclassify the theories of Siegmund Freud and of C. G. Jung by finding a common basis for them. A journey through history, religion, mythology and art shows the overall range of the collective trauma and gives us - the patients - a message of extraordinary urgency and importance for the future.

Ipuwer Papyrus

The Ipuwer Papyrus describes Egypt as afflicted by natural disasters and in a state of chaos, a topsy-turvy world where the poor have become rich, and the rich poor, and warfare, famine and death are everywhere. One symptom of this collapse of order is the lament that servants are leaving their servitude and acting rebelliously.

I bloody love this thread and the posters on it man... it is just wow for me, so much stuff on here has my jaw dropping with the understandings and the speed at which I am grasping concepts, that even weeks ago were not in my present reality or mode of thinking.

Leaps and bounds is an understatement.

Re: X Marks the Spot
yes i was noticing yesterday the glory of righteousness experienced in resistance
which is good i suppose
but
what when the emotional high experienced within the act of resistance becomes the motive of resistance
is that where it is righteous to suffer crept in
what did mechanical universe arise from within christianity 400 years ago

hard surfaced unemotional environment perfectly balanced to maintain human suffering

it must have been so
