I used to love getting folks so mad that they forgot what they were mad about. Quoting: Dionysian Fullaflattus The point is we often make our most concise points when not thinking about what we are saying. Sometimes I think nobody really knows what they are mad about, even when they are absolutely certain of their cause and focus. Everything is in transition and locality is as much a route of nervous energetism as choice. Why be mad. It makes us inefficient and close minded. Like a bull in a slaughter chute. I would say it makes us very efficient at being close minded. Anger has its place and purpose. I just wonder sometimes about the true nature of it. It does indeed. Reconciliation would feel empty without it. |

From the extinction of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago to the felled forests around Tunguska in 1908, the space rocks keep coming. Quoting: Aristide Torchia This week, Earth strikes back. When asteroid 2014 DA14 makes a record close approach to our planet on Feb. 15th, the space rock could be the one feeling tremors. New research by Richard Binzel, a professor of planetary science at MIT, suggests that many near-Earth asteroids experience a seismic jolt when they pass too close to our planet’s gravitational field. "We are going to be looking closely for evidence of seismic activity on 2014 DA14 as it passes by," says Binzel. "This is the first case of an object coming close enough to experience quakes AND where we have enough notice to plan observations." Quoting: observationImages show it to be more like an asteroid. It has an elliptical orbit around the sun. It develops one or more plasma tails. The coma is plasma and can extend out so far that, at times, becomes the largest visible object in the sky. Satellites have detected extremely fine dust in the tail. Images show eruptions on the surface that appear filamentary. It can shatter into several pieces or disappear. There are moving charged particles in the coma and tail. We agree that a comet is an electrical phenomenon. What have I forgotten? It is not an isolated body, it appears to be part of a circuit. NOW...If the comet is a dielectric asteroid that has electric current around and through it, what can it be described as? A capacitor? Yes. A resistor? Yes Even an inductor? Yes. It is encountering an electrically changing environment. It is connected to a different potential by it's plasma tail. Electrical energy is being transmitted to the comet by means of the plasma conductor, the tail. The comet is discharging, conducting electrical energy out, omnidirectionally. If something causes the electrical flow to increase, the resistive part of the comet will overload and break down. But as long as the comet is discharging and maintaining it's place in the circuit, the capacitive and inductive components will probably not be overloaded. Seer777 Ride the wings of the mind User ID: 3018467 United States 02/14/2013 04:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | All this talk of chickens, poo, and doom. Let's talk about sexual energy and blood instead... I was wondering if any of the menstruating women on this thread have noticed a reduction in their...monthly flow. I have noted said for months now, and it harkens back to something I posted some months ago. While men lose 'jing' due to ejaculation, woman apparently lose it through menses. It is the ultimate goal it is said, to stop menstruation completely, but why that would be desired I am unsure. Women do not lose vital essence during orgasm because it is not being expelled out of the body, as is the case for the male. The female orgasm is more of an implosion than an explosion. However, as I mentioned above, women do lose jing during menstruation through the loss of blood -- like semen, another vital fluid and bridge between organic matter and vital energy. There are esoteric teachings in taoist energy theory for how women, like men, can dramatically reduce the depletion of jing. The female counterpart to male semen retention in the reduction and cessation of menstruation, which can be attained through learning specific techniques of circulation and cultivation of energy. (This is described in Mantak Chia's Taoist Secrets of Love: Cultivating Female Sexual Energy and his other writings.) It is important to point out here that the cessation of menstruation in these cases is not due to any pathological condition, as we would assume in the West, but rather to an exceptionally high level of cultivation of vital energy and the ability to conserve it and channel it to higher centers in the body's energetic anatomy. This will not make sense to Western-trained physicians who, without an understanding of its energetic aspects, can only see cessation of periods as a disease state. Taoist and tantric sexual practices teach how to move and circulate the energy throughout the body, rather than simply stagnating in the sexual organs, so this energy can be absorbed and transformed into health-giving chi. This latter point is particularly important. If the charge of sexual energy is aroused and then just left "unmoved," so to speak, congestion in the sex organs will naturally develop. However, by simply learning to draw the aroused energy upward and circulate it through the body's various energetic pathways, and then using the breath and visualization to help direct this, the energy is easily circulated.
