Quoting: Quantum Anomaly At a certain point of 'relaxation' I'll sometime get a bright flash of white light and at the same time hear and feel a lightening bolt 'crack' as it would sound in extremely close proximity. This has happened several times and I can always count on an interesting 'session' following this experience. Interesting. You hear this outside yourself? Physical manifestation of sound IOW? We have spoken of this a bit in this thread. Do neurons create visible light? Hard to determine really....both within and without...no 'echo' though...like one would hear 'without' oneself... I figure if we make it easy enough for me to understand; these seven billion monkeys can get busy typing the script of novelty and I can spend my time lolling in the garden. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 9905909 United States 02/24/2013 10:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | which makes me think about a question (unanswered) that i posed to my healer in october of last year: Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9905909 "how does the mind see?" i meant like eyes do. i am a craftsman/artist by trade and i have a lot of experience with visualization. Nothing unusual, mind you, just close the eyes and 'pictue' stuff: morph shapes and move them around, see how they fit.. all the normal stuff: quite useful and a skill that can be developed by anyone. well on this particular october day, i was in a bit of state, having not slept more than 5 or 6 sleep cycles in as many days and the night before my session with my healer i had had the single most surreal night of my life. now mind you, i am no stranger to the drug induced surreal having had quite a number of hallucinatory experiences in a wide verity of conditions, many of them with what many people would describe as an overwhelming amount of outside visual/auditory stimulous: i like it that way. but on this particular night i was au natural and in a waking nightmare, experiencing the halucigentic effects (twisting open vision and all the rest: no big deal, just odd cuz i didn't have any of the associated and familiar (to me) drug 'side effects'. and therefore trully surreal (to me). anyway the truly strange part was when i closed my eyes i could *see* stuff: not like my creative visulisations, but actual *seeing*. hence the question: how can the mind "see". what i saw terrified me and so ensued yet another sleepless night. of course the real surprise was the next night after my needle session... still don't know the answer, mind you. I watched this some years back and I remember it bending my perception regarding. After all these years, this was on my Mind after the 'pin pong ball' and the brain being in the 'dark'. [link to www.youtube.com] :) hmmm: long. i'll watch in a bit with dinner. i was wishing for something to watch not minutes ago... thnx seeStar hmmmm. didnt watch the whole thing, kinda skipping about... i am familiar with all the concepts and the idea os life as a simple manifistaion of perception (which i don't agree with) and that there is no 'physical' reality. i am pretty sure there is one tho, just modified by perception, not created by it. and yes i understand the whole seeing is in the brain thing, but the perception is like a tv screen and there has to be a source: no source, no perception. and what i remember of my dreams are like mash up recordings, utilizing the memory of percived real objects to create a non linear dialog. i dunno: what i saw rely neither like memory, perception, or dreams... but i was seeing, not imagining. bleh thanks tho |
