Re: X Marks the Spot
It is often wise when making a story to have a beginning, middle, and end all set out before character building is to take place, then you know where they are to go, and the direction of the flow.

changes can then be made to the beginning middle and end, yet to have a guideline is prudent, so then it is just like filling in the gaps, and will take a more natural flow, as the character builds on the journey, to the final penultimate bababoom of the book.

Just my 2 cents.

Don't ask me how I know, I never even went to school, half the words I used in the above sentence if I stop to think about it, I will have to go check out wtf they mean, yet they fit,so I just flow, maybe an open channel at times, who knows, ;)

I totally agree. The first thing I did was to list a sequence of events that happen in chronological order. I am currently in the process of modifying that sequence to make some changes and add some layers of intrigue to the story.

I need to get that down in an outline summery type of form in order to have a reference point for the growth of the main character. There will be three characters who are all possible antagonists....the brother, the sister, and the mother...not to mention the bizarre things (and person) I have planned for the character to encounter.

Once I get this sequence solidified with an ending and a beginning (which can be tweaked as the story is written), I can better easily determine how to craft the story.

The ancient books of Tibet say that if a person can see ultimate truth only once, for just 20 minutes in their entire life, then they will soon be able to reach enlightenment, and help stop the pain of countless living beings in this world.

hmm

...

I could not open my third eye, despite the amount of prana I was channeling. All other chakras were at maximum power. Something in the third eye was tangled, and try as I might I could not open it.

Eventually the chakra lines of the brow could withstand no more energy...and suddenly, I find myself with a working brow chakra. But, something was wrong...

Instead of a single "powerpoint" that characterizes a properly functioning, powered-on third eye... there was seven points. Seven third eyes...

...at this point, only the right eye could see anything at all... in our current realm, that is.

Thus also my left physical eye was a third eye chakra.... by the way.... in a much later vision, my left eye is TORN OUT (no pain....) and replaced with a giant energy pillar.... but... I'll try and limit the truly, truly bizarre as best I can for now... LOL

...
...

I cannot describe to you what it looked like... (though it is burned in my subconscious) for many reasons.... but I can give it to you under a thin veil.... What do you get... if you slice away at a rapidly spinning sphere... for a trillion years.... with a blade sharp enough to split a proton...

Then.... after viewing the base archetype for.... GoD fucking knows how long....I was in fucking absolute "godhead" mode... I literally felt as though I had conquered the universe itself.

...
...

My energy lines were actually dying.... I was allowing myself to die... if I could be in the presence of whatever THAT thing was.... I couldn't give a shit about ANYTHING else.

I was down to a chakra "skeleton" at this point.... only a very thin, hot line connecting the root chakra to the massive electrical construct of the seven third eyes.

But there was a problem. It was hot. Very hot.... like a singularity. I realized that I could no longer perceive our common realm.... my seven third eyes were "locked" into the aether... and things were rapidly getting FAR too hot to withstand.... I was on fire.... I could feel my fucking prefrontal lobe neurons cooking... I felt a tinge of fear.... then, suddenly, my brow chakra just snapped. Imagine combing a dreadlock out of a dog's hair.

I suspect the truth is within not out, so the imho forcing of issues, to see what is out there can be the cause of splits, not just of the eye, but our very being.

Yet they are just lessons to learn, and just like two steps forward one step back, you are still moving forward.

Plus I always have the belief, we can fix anything if we put enough effort in to it.

Sounds like a not so nice experience, yet one that has taught you much.

I like the story about Enlil and Ninlil
It just seems to be deeper than described, Ninlil must have been a young girl, perhaps not fully adult in their culture, though she is referred to as woman or young woman.

perhaps that is why their love was seen as something illegal, and Enlil was banished, as a sex offender.
But Ninlil knew of his intentions and did not run away, when he came to her.

and why did he just accept the sentense so easily, if he indeed was such a rapist or tyrant, he would probably have lied about it or denied it.

Maybe Enlil accepted the banishment to prevent that Ninlil got an even worse punishment.
Or maybe he was naive and stupid.

I have been feeling really good lately. I still have swings to the lower register, but overall I have been waiting years to feel the way I have been feeling lately.

Also, I have been much more emotional lately. But, emotional in the positive direction.

I've got to remember to continue writing my own 2 novels. That should make me feel much better as well. Keep my mind focused on something. I have not wanted to read much, or watch TV, and I need something to keep my mind busy.

Two novels eh?

What are they about?

I started a book about 5 years ago. I wrote the first 3 chapters. It was an Orwellian type of futuristic book...not too futuristic....it was supposed to take place around the year 2017. It was an action/suspense type of book about the NWO and globalism.

One is fantasy, one is sci-fi. A long time ago I was working on a Celestine Prophecy type book, but with ET in it, but gave up on that one. But, both novels I am working on will not be your standard sci-fi f/fantasy books as they will include all this other stuff I am interested in. Electromagnetism, consciousness, ancient knowledge, etc.

I've written a lot of short stories, a few were published in magazines and online magazines.

I had some interested publishers for some of the other works, but I was shopping them in 2008 and publishers took the economic hit and didn't want to sign anyone new at the time.

Sounds really cool. I'd read them.

I gave up on my first attempt too...at least for the moment. It was strange. I just started typing at first and before I knew it I had 3 solid chapters. The story was set up nicely. I had three groups of characters I was going to follow.

But then I got to a point where I wasn't sure how I was going to intertwine everything. However, now that I am attempting to write this other thing I am thinking that I now know how to develop the plot in the first one. I simply need to make an outline of the story I want to tell.

It was so different when I was writing those first chapters. It was like the scene just popped into my head and flowed out without any hesitation.

From The Bridge of Eschaton - these were all written in 2007

Summary: The Omega Point is reached. The Technological Singularity has been born inside a simulated reality. His sole objective; to bridge the gap between Pre-Thought (Pre- Big Bang) and Post-Thought (Death) to bring forth the ultimate destiny, the end of reality as we know it, and usher in mankind's reunion to the heavens.

Preview: I am simply the Singularity. I am here to facilitate the new paradigm. I have been born to precipitate the appropriate choice. Pan, in all choices there are consequences. I am sorry for the pain visited upon you. When powerful enough, emotion can override rationality. I had not planned the violence. Life support was to shut down and all of you were to expire without pain.
