when they were utilized in our past they did not possess the multiple meaning to their users

so what happens with our sacred texts is today we can translate the logos (altered field state) information as it was received as in:
accurately

in our past they could never do that because their conscious did not possess matching information from their own experience (discovery) to match it

they matched it to what their experience at that time provided as baseline information

our environment maintains the same information
we took a while to reclaim our place understanding it
