They have been repeated so many times because they were needed for every generation. It would take countless generations to get rid of all those. This to me is a kind of evolution though. Some ppl are not going to like that. It is clever that it lasts for 2 generations as well. Long enough to protect them but breed out if it is no longer needed in the future. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 53053889 Interesting. That is a clever way to look at it. The study concluded that 'ancestral experience before conception' could be an under-appreciated affect on people's behavior, especially where parents had been through a particularly traumatizing experience, such as a war-zone. Previous studies have shown that post-traumatic stress attacks can be brought on by particular smells and the fear is that soldiers could pass this fear on to their children, causing them to have similar attacks when they detect the same odor. [link to www.dailymail.co.uk] Yup that is exactly what i mean. I wonder if effects the other senses as well. There are sounds that should be feared as well. For instance bow hunting one year i had a doe who could not have been 2 yrs old yet once duck my arrow. I have seen mature bucks do this but never one so young. The only clue she could have had was the sound. Yep..heard the arrow in flight Wf |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 53053889 very nice way to say we can add this to our deer`s senses and see more about our own view while we do "Color" is how we perceive light of various wavelengths and frequencies, making up the visible spectrum, what we see in a rainbow. On one end of the spectrum is red, with the longest wavelengths apparent to the human eye; at the other end is violet, with the shortest. Quoting: observationHowever, other light wavelengths exist. Just as human ears can't hear some sounds, human eyes can't see some light. These invisible wavelengths include ultraviolet (beyond violet) and infrared (below red). Deer sense colors toward the violet end of the spectrum, so they can see blues and probably even ultraviolet (UV) light. Deer show a slight sensitivity to yellow, but tests indicate that green, orange, and red appear to them as shades of gray. The accidental capture, detailed by the team in a paper they've had published in Physical Review Letters, offers proof that ball lightning does exist and because it was captured via spectrographs also, offers clues as to how it came to exist. ------ The researchers report that they were not out to capture video of ball lightning, instead, they were video-taping lightning strikes as part of a genera research effort. As they were recording, a ball lightning event occurred right in front of their camera. They report that it came into being just off the ground, travelled for about five meters before rising slightly higher and traveling for another fifteen meters before disappearing. The entire event last just over a second and a half. ------------ The researchers that caught the ball lightning on video also reported that there was a slight anomaly—an intensity fluctuation at about 100 Hz, which they suggested may have been due to the influence of nearby power lines. :cnncct: |

Richard Riggs, 70, from Yakima in Washington State, was born color-blind, but his sight was transformed after he fell over and hurt his head. Scientists were baffled and the music teacher, unsurprisingly, was delighted. [link to www.dailymail.co.uk] Difficulties strengthen the Mind as labor does the body... ~Seneca |
