Good luck on preaching the way of the natives while hating part of your own blood. You are going to need it. The natives have things to be ashamed of just like every other race. They do not hate themselves because of it. The war you feel the need to fight is inside you. When it is one that is what you pass on to your children. Read the wolf story I posted earlier. It is real lore. Dont forget that as far as I know I am the only Native American you have spoken to in this thread that can prove his heritage and has the physical attributes to prove it as well. How do you feel about me? Are you sure you are looking for guidance and not just validation of your feelings? It is a common condition of the modern "white man" to do this. Have a nice day. Youve not seen my daughter or you would know I teach her not war! So shut the fuk up How can you teach your daughter something correctly you do not even understand yourself? But as you wish. I will let you speak to the others for your information. I have already told you what you needed to here anyways. |

Seer777 Ride the wings of the mind User ID: 50018194 United States 06/26/2014 05:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I dreamed of shapeshifters once. I had invoked the Siletz Indians the night of. I was at the beach house at the time... 2/22/10 Dream. I am outside somewhere and I see a Coyote. The animal bites me on the leg and I become frighten. Later in the dream I am surrounded by other types of animals. Then they all start turning into children. These children shapeshift over and over from kids back to animals and vice versa. Then one of the children, a boy, looks up at me and says, "I like adults." My beach house is on the Siletz Bay which is named due to the Siletz Indians that lived there. Last night before I went to sleep I was outside, under the stars, completely alone with the Bay and I stated out loud, "If there are any Siletz Indians who would like to talk to me I am here and ready to listen." yes lovely once your past the look you get the bite charming huh that looks poetic drama to inspire Well. When I was very young there was a movie called Dot and the Kangaroo. I must have watched that movie countless times. Anywhoo. The Kangaroo gives Dot some leaves to eat so that she can understand the animals. After that she goes on a nice adventure with them. Here it is. [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] I kinda looked at the bite like that. Maybe it was so I 'could see it'. Or, Maybe it was a test to see if I would attack the coyote. Vash User ID: 20063747 Canada 06/26/2014 05:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There once was an old Indian. His little grandson often came in the evenings to sit at his knee and ask the many questions that children ask. One day the grandson came to his grandfather with a look of anger on his face. Quoting: Plays with snakes 58372681 Grandfather said, "Come, sit, tell me what has happened today." The child sat and leaned his chin on his Grandfather's knee. Looking up into the wrinkled, nut brown face and the kind dark eyes, the child's anger turned to quiet tears. The boy said, "I went to the town today with my father, to trade the furs he has collected over the past several months. I was happy to go, because father said that since I had helped him with the trapping, I could get something for me. Something that I wanted. I was so excited to be in the trading post. I have not been there before. I looked at many things and finally found a metal knife! It was small, but good size for me, so father got it for me." Here the boy laid his head against his grandfather's knee and became silent. The Grandfather, softly placed his hand on the boys raven hair and said, "And then what happened?". Without lifting his head, the boy said, "I went outside to wait for father, and to admire my new knife in the sunlight. Some town boys came by and saw me, they got all around me and starting saying bad things. They called me dirty and stupid and said that I should not have such a fine knife. The largest of these boys, pushed me back and I fell over one of the other boys. I dropped my knife and one of them snatched it up and they all ran away, laughing." Here the boy's anger returned, "I hate them, I hate them all!" The Grandfather, with eyes that had seen too much, lifted his grandson's face so his eyes looked into the boy's. Grandfather said, "Let me tell you a story." "I too, at times, have felt a great hate for those that have taken so much, with no sorrow for what they do. But hate wears you down, and does not hurt your enemy. It is like taking poison and wishing your enemy would die. I have struggled with these feelings many times. It is as if there are two wolves inside me, one is white and one is black. The White Wolf is good and does no harm. He lives in harmony with all around him and does not take offense when no offense was intended. He will only fight when it is right to do so, and in the right way. But the Black Wolf is full of anger. The littlest thing will set him into a fit of temper. He fights everyone, all the time, for no reason. He cannot think because his anger and hate are so great. It is helpless anger, for his anger will change nothing. Sometimes it is hard to live with these two wolves inside me, for both of them seek to dominate my spirit." The boy, looked intently into his Grandfather's eyes, and asked, "Which one wins Grandfather?" The Grandfather, smiled and said, "The one I feed." [link to www.native-languages.org] TBH I've been told his story as a young child, but the first thought that always jumped to mind was…. can they not simply work together? Can the effort and the 'feeding', not go toward the reconciliation of the need for this 'dominance' of one half? Does one really need to starve an entire half of one's being completely out of existence? What is passion and romance, for example, without agony and madness? Merely IOUs and scripted lines. But I'll let you all off the hook RE: my rhetoric at this point. Good afternoon everyone. :) Last Edited by pi/3 on 06/26/2014 05:35 PM .... "If there is evil in this world, does it have mercy?" Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1520466 You might want to switch tactics If you knew anything about natives...the women were the keepers of knowledge You seem to be ignoring who makes the decisions and why. Regardless of any other information that fits your agenda. That is what you need to deal with I would imagine. Yea..like a man of the tribe is gonna know the shake..I really fukin doubt it..I have already seen it will be an elder woman! I witnessed my mother doing it before her death..and called it by name |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1520466 United States 06/26/2014 05:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1520466 It seems you already know the answer right? Or do you just think you do? I'm inviting you to correct me. Like a scientist ought to be, I always am. :) I am declining the offer :) Seems you would only argue. That does not promote anything worth while now does it? Indeed you would only move farther from what it is i offered as an explanation. Best you think for yourself anyways. It is a personal journey after all. Cop out. It's a personal journey, sure, but it's also a game. It just so happens my only game is beating 'you' at 'yours'. I'm not saying I never lose, but…. Well, ya know. If you say so. Interesting thing about your convenient world view is what have you won? What I said I meant and there was no hidden meaning, agenda, angle or subterfuge. I meant exactly what I said and nothing else. If you perceived something else then you are playing a game. I am not the one you are playing with it though. And if you believe you dont lose then you are already beat. Not admitting defeat does not defeat it. I figure you would have learned this by now. |
