The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank." The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects. The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard. The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass. |

The 'eagle's' gift is a bestowal to perpetuate awareness. For those that slip past it...drift off into infinity with their energetic awareness intact. One must assume that this ancient sorcerer, if he existed, for some reason figured that he was unable to slip past the eagle (the wheel of time) upon death...and knew that if he was consumed, he would lose all the knowledge he had accumulated upon his dissolution and rebirth. He chose to try to fight a long battle with death instead. If one assumes that 'death' is the eagle's agent of balance, then his very existence would threaten the balance of natural law. For one, the being on the right has no arms. It is hard to even identify it as a 'being', unless one sees the intention of the artist. This may sound strange, but I can feel the struggle the artist hard, attempting to represent the being on the right properly, so that would be understood. He added the 'second leg' as an afterthought feeling the 'being' appeared too 'serpent' like. Which may very well have been his intention but perhaps he hid it, or utilized the 'second leg' as cover for the Serpent. I'm confused...tablet? I meant what Angels communicates with not an interpretation of a picture...I may have been off the point with my comment then. edit...nevermind...reading ahead I see what was meant now... |

When you judge others, the scale tips both ways. The only time it doesn't, is when you judge yourself. Why? Because you are the fulcrum. And the perspective can be skewed, especially by hearsay and ones putting on masks. I guess what I mean is, sight alone is not enough for a fulcrum...but I try not to have god in my eye. |
