I think it was plato that said the soul has 3 natures. the beast, human, the lion the beast is the multi headed beast and the human has to cut off the lower passions to keep it at bay, the human being reason. The lion being the higher mind according to plato. But we could put wolf as the beast as emotions, at least that is what I'm thinking about it all.
